What is all this about?

Despite downloading the patch which is supposed to update build 42203 to 43434 I get the above message.

Does the updating have to take place sequentially, or can I go from 42203 to 44088 without any trouble?

You need to tell the patcher where the Trainz installation is. Use the .. button at the top for this, or use the auto-patch method I mentioned in your previous thread.

Used the "Patch Trainz" button. This is what I get:
-Checking for available disk space for patching.Searching for patches...
Downloading patch file...
Unpacking patch file...
Failed to extract the patch archive.
Patching aborted.

Did you remember to turn off your antivirus program during patching?

I'm not quite sure what happened, but the program has updated to the latest build, so everything looks OK, at least for the moment.
