Got a explantion for that one anybody = or would the person who re uploaded them please kindly get in touch with me ASAP and tell how and why they did this ??????

Description:
A virtual real scale model of the NSW country branch line linking Blayney and Cowra NSW (DEM). The line was mothballed in 1991, although some parts were subsequently reopened for limited traffic. The model is set in the late1960's, when both steam and diesel operated simultaneously. The Gold Mine that closed in the 1890's has been changed to a Coal mine to make it playable. Added TS12 default continer terminal but its way larger than the real one at Blayney. Will Join on to Footplatesphill's Weddin if you wish and a good idea as it then adds Cowra yard to this route, Remove the blank board after rail bridge at Blayney end of Cowra yard to join up.

Have the version numbers in the kuids been increased by 1 compared to the routes you originally uploaded? If so, I suspect this is N3V's doing.

They have done similar things to some of my DLS content, without asking or even informing me :n:. In my case, this was for content that ended up being built-in to newer Trainz releases, or that somehow didn't comply with standards that were introduced well after the content was made. Could this be happening to you too?

Yes there is now a 1 present on the end of the kuids.

There is also items of rolling stock on the route as well.

There were two version of the route one with quite afew payware buildings on it and one without - but the descrpitions stating this are gone - the only way that the payware version could be used as a relases route would be if the payware was also included in the release which would have the payware creators hopping mad.

Yes some of my content became built in after TS12 by magic!

OMG I miss the old full credit given Auran days :( miss the odd present that Lance and Cafe (Henk) used to send out as thank yous.

If it was N3V's doing a email would be nice.

Being a TS12 route already would not see the need for it of be part of the clean up .

Funny thing is if N3V had asked would have given them the new and very improved version that is almost ready and was sitting on to be TANE ready, would have finished it for them if they would have asked which is all to TS12 standards not a ported TS10 route LOL.

Not sure if I should reload the orginal route over the top of the one now on the DLS with a kuid update?

Or my new version over the top of the current one. ?

Could someone else doing the content clean-up thing have updated the route for you?

John

I would contact the helpdesk. This doesn't seem right to me.

Gets even better as the icon for the routes make mention of my old user name which I had to change after I was threatened by a big name company for using a registered trademark with out permission and had to change my user name.

Your first suggestion would be quite spiteful, but fully justified IMHO! Your second suggestion sounds good because it brings back control of the version sequence and Description text to yourself as well as providing an actual upgrade of the asset to the users.

In my own case, being just a TS2010 peasant, I mean owner, I can't even tell which of my assets has been 'hijacked' and up-versioned by N3V because they are built-in to a higher version of Trainz and therefore hidden from me. I'm afraid to upgrade anything for fear of buggering up the version sequence. I think N3V have been quite arrogant in what they've done, not even an email to tell me which assets have been involved and what the changes are. Yet when I contested this a while ago I was told that I should be happy that my assets were deemed worthy of being built-in to their latest cash cow.

Which company was that? I will avoid purchasing anything from them if you can tell me. Maybe by PM?

No Dave, I don't. N3V just need to treat their contributors with a bit more consideration. Besides, I've already paid to be enterTANEd, so why bother with something that is about to be obsolete very soon?

The company was uniden and the product was a Bearcat245xlt 2 way radio that just happen to be on my desk when looking for a user name.

The radio has been out of production for about 7 years now but apprantly they own that name.

The sad part is someone must have got the poos with me and reported me or something to them as would have through they would normally have not worried about a trainz user name .

Error: The tag 'info-page' in 'map' points to a nonexistent file: 'readme.htm'.

That's enough to get in onto the cleanup list. The version it is built for doesn't matter.

This version uses quite a bit of payware but the note stating this has been removed will have to check to see if the payware is gone as well.

The only difference is the fix for the above error. The KUID list is identical; the icon is the same. Sure looks like a standard cleanup item to me.

This tag is not part of my orginal release I can assue you - the config is to large to post here.

That and the new version has a missing asset

Unknown Location: <kuid:61119:28054>
Which in it self is a mystery as I would not be able to add an item to a route that I did not have on my computer = so how in hell did it make it into the route. As when I downloaded this new route to my PC it states this item is missing from the route.

Hi NSWGR-46Class
When trainz told me yesterday that there was an update I thought "you beauty" and downloaded it. Then when I checked it out in content manager I discovered it had a yellow warning, unknown and broken assets, not what I would expect from someone who has uploaded as much content as you have. And now we have this post from you. The updater didn't even have an obsolete table so at least I still have the 2009 version.
The only difference I can see from a quick look at both routes (after reading your first post this morning) is that the containers version has a container terminal object at the cowra end, not connected to anything.
I know you have said before that others have been updating your stuff. Seems to me that N3V could have checked to see who was still active before opening up everyones content to whoever wanted to "update" it.
So I will ignore the "new" version for now.
Maybe you can upload a :128 or whatever the max version number is and then release your TANE version with a different name?
Definitely contact the helpdesk.
If you like I can pm the missing kuids which I suspect are payware or from earlier versions of trainz. The broken things are from people who don't seem to be around anymore and I think were broken in recent hotfixes.
Bye the way, I hadn't realised Bearcat from long ago was you. Back in the seventies the Steiger tractor company had a Bearcat model. I thought your old name had come from there.
Thanks again for all the good stuff you have done
Tom

If it were my asset then I'd update to a later version - i.e. bump the kuid number. If the "update" has introduced new issues (errors or use of payware) then I think that is inappropriate and could reflect badly on the creator.

But I would also raise the issue with N3V. If they have updated it then I think it should be marked in some fashion.

Doesn't answer this question, however I do remember seeing some routes on the Cleanup list last time I looked at it.

By the way, you can search on your own user ID in the search box on the cleanup list, seems to me as if the email request to fix before it goes on the list doesn't always arrive, so I check every so often.

Good point.

I just hope we won't be disappointed with the enterTANEment---! Hahahah

Good Morning All
I have spoken with our admin, and these two routes were definitely in the DLS cleanup, and were repaired/uploaded through the DLS cleanup system. You should have received an email informing you that the assets needed repairing, and that if this was not done within 8 weeks then they would be added to the public listing.

A check of the original assets here shows that they are indeed faulty, at least in SP1, due to a missing 'html' file that is being referenced by the config.txt file. The full error report is as follows:

Error: The tag 'info-page' in 'map' points to a nonexistent file: 'readme.htm'.

If you wish to, you can upload a new update that fixes this. If the routes have been incorrectly repaired through the DLS cleanup, then you can also upload an update to fix this as well.

Regards
