Welcome New Trainzers!

Crabby Old Geezer
For the last few months I have seen an influx of persons new to Trainz. I would like to welcome all the "newbies" to Trainz. In my opinion, it is still the absolute best Train Sim on the market. The ease of operation and route building is second to none.

One thing you must know, Trainz is not truly an easy game to master. There is a learning curve, some things more difficult than others, but if you stick with it, explore these forums, ask questions, and yes, even keep a notebook handy where you can jot down a few things to remember, it is worth it in the long run.

Above all, don't give up after a few frustrations. I think there's always an answer to any question or situation. The Trainz forums here are a Trainzer's best friend.

Again, welcome newcomers to Trainz.

Cheers,

Dave Snow

Indeed - quite often for most situations there's usually at least one member here who has the answer or can assist to find the answer. Some problems will require assistance from N3V (the company who makes Trainz, which used to be Auran) via their Helpdesk.

Like Dave said: A note book will come in handy and a pad of paper and a pencil/pen will become mandatory for quick notes.

Welcome and enjoy.

With all of the whingers, whiners, and malcontents on this forum, I can see where a newcomer to Trainz could get discouraged before they had a chance to try out the game.
Thanks Dave, for a very nice and refreshing post. I agree with everything you said in the above description. It's good to read an occasional positive description about a great pastime, and thanks for all of your contributions to the game.
