WC Shotz

More?!

Back to being myself here...
I was out touring the country side with my good friends Jerry (the guys with the camera, remember?), Matt and David.
Running along the CN tracks, we pulled up to a rural crossing and saw this, and so the chase began!

Jerry kept the camera busy as we chased IC's class unit 6100, CN 2527, and WC 3007 on a mixed freight coming from Chicago.

Yeah it's the Holly Sub, but the first batch was from Lincoln Secondary.
I'm uploading some WC shots at Photobucket as we speak, they are on Holly, but on a portion I added to it.

Yeah, them were A LOT and some nice pix....I will have to get some on here prolly Sunday night or Monday, I am off Monday so TRS ALL DAY!!!!! LOL :hehe:

Kind of a dumb question maybe, but is there a good WC Route available, it looked like on page 38 and 39 of thus thread there was... I'm an engineer with CN in Canada, and am looking for a good WC route... Pics look great btw!

Those are two and the newly released US Grain Shortline is definitely something to look into.

Not really no WC routes out there to get :( the ones you see on them pages are an area I am doing for the WC here around the Wausau area and central Wisconsin....Steve (007007) has been doing the southern part of Wisconsin in a way....There is this WC route as well, well not a route, but a paper mill thing based in Wisconsin

Description:
This is a prototypical modul of the Gordon Paper Company located in Appleton, Wisconsin. This route is (or at least) was served by Wisconsin Central. This plant serves: fuel, woodchips, and paper rolls get shipped-out onto the WC Branchline.

You can give that one a shot once....But other than that...There is none......Oh and then there was this other one that Chris did around the Canada area, it is the one that has the Agawa Canyon train on it of the Algoma Central.....If you would like to try that one once, let me know, I don't think he has that one on here anymore or available anymore.......Ya might have to start a WC route so we could have one at least to run on.....Would be nice to see one from Superior all the way down thru Ladysmith, Owen, Junction City, Stevens Point, and then to Neenah....I know 007007 is working on one from like Fond du Lac all the way to I think Rugby Jct...Not sure.....But if ya want that AC route...Let me know....

Good Morning to All!

Well, Jerry and I got up bright and early hoping to catch some mid-morning action, none the less, we managed to catch a WC local on home rails.

Well, when I fictionalized the Holly Sub, I added a branchline extending both way were the CSX Saginaw used to cross in Holly, and I decided the line would be an old MILW line that went to Soo, that WC bought.
So of course CN ended up getting it.
I managed to catch 6100 on it's return from Chicago.
Very early this morning...

Million Dollar Screenie

@ illinoiscentral, that's the million dollar screenshot. Congrats, on behalf of the Wisconsin Central, Canadian National, Illinois Central, Boston & Maine and the Pennsylvania Railroad, here's a check for a million dollars. :D

A few more.

Well, I managed to capture the Tuscola & Saginaw Bay local coming into Durand with a cut of cars to be transfered to CN/IC.
But the bad thing is, the WC local bringing TSBY their outbound cars and picking these up, is late.

According to Jerry's scanner, it's 8:17 now, and CN/IC control said it shouldn't be any later than 2:30 or 3:00.

Cheers,

Tonight I was called for the local run up to Bradley....With new trains made up now, the Wausau train does not run to Prentice no more...It turns at Bradley so which makes the Wausau to Bradley train L589

Making its way thru the old Wausau yard

Slowly making its way thru town, with the bell only going

Making a set out with some tank cars and some empty boxcars at Brokaw

With our train back together, we depart Brokaw and head for Merrill to set out a string of hopper cars

At Tomahawk we slow down to make a set out in the MT&W yard

Our tie up for the night is here at Bradley where tomorrow we will take this train back as train L588

All for now
