Hi all

Not much of a clue about Vista sorry

I want to upgrade in the new year to Vista home premium but which version is the better for trainz 2009 the 32bit version or the 64bit version ? Or if anyone is running trainz 2009 with either verion what results are you getting..Especially large layouts with plenty of content installed?

currently on XP sp2

Cheers

I would reccomend the 32 bit version of Windows Vista, as its most widely used, plus most programs can be easily run with this version. If you are upgrading from Windows XP (any version), you use Vista 32 bit, as Windows XP also runs on 32 bit, but NOT 64 bit.

In short, use Vista Home Premium 32 bit. :)

If you are keeping the existing hardware stay with XP 32 bit. If you are buying an i7 with the x58 chip set computer then you want to have 6 gigs of memory and Vista 64 bit.

I can think of no reason to move from XP 32 bit to Vista 32 bit for Trainz performance.
