Thanks, John. I'm already happy with Fraps' 30 second limit. As a former teacher, I completely understand the attention span issue - I have one myself - and I feel I accommodated that with the four videos I have already made. I feel that Fraps is fine the way it is.
My issue is that Windows Media Maker seems to be hell bent on making my videos, shot on Earth, appear that they were shot on Mars or perhaps Krypton (as illustrated in the screenshot in my previous post). I cannot figure out how to get that to change back. It seems that no setting I can find affects this. What is really odd is that when I click on the file name in the folder, the little preview image that I get has its proper, non-distorted colors.
Two other people on the "Interweb" have posted in their various and sundry forums this same issue with no more answer than "sell your computer and buy a new one".
