The 999 was built in Altoona, Pa. I'd classify that as northeast... It's fine, I wouldn't expect you to know that, half the reason I chose that unit was to see what you guys' reactions were.

Hehe, GREAT pics!! :D I always loved your MILW assets and route pics :)
Since you are also from germany...i recommend this link: http://us-modellbahn.net/acela/electric.html

Hallo - thanks for your compliments and for the interesting link.
I even like the "electric" shots here e.g. your BM&LP and metrarailboy1's New Haven.

But what means "Since you are also from germany"? Where do you come from?

Have a nice time.
Your's TUME

Hehehe,
Look at my profile 'location' :) KBS700/702 is the Rheintalbahn + SFS Mannheim - Stuttgart, MP23 is Neulußheim, Baden- Württemberg :p

Many people think i'm from the US because i never cared about german trains...

Felix

Btw...the 'New Haven' pics are also from one of my routes - The Northeast Corridor ;)

They are electric locomotives that generate electricity through an onboard (diesel) motor instead of drawing it in from a wire or third rail.

How about we (myself included) all shut our traps and get back to pics?
