Being new to this uploading thing i have left out some thing on the routes that i uploaded and would like to obsolete them. Is there a way for me to do that? or remove them from the DLS/CMP.?

Change the kuid to a kuid2 format, e.g. <kuid:123456:7890> to <kuid2:123456:7890:1> in the config file of the asset you want to update.

Rather than hacking the config.txt file, the safest way to do that is to select the route in content manager, RIGHT click, select "Create new version" and it will automatically create the correct KUID2 number. After that you can edit the config.txt to change the username from "AwesomeRoute" to "AwesomeRoute 1.1", but manually adding the KUID2:1 has the potential for m!$t4k3$.

While the advice from both parties above is correct, I just want to know if the routes are already listed on the DLS, or waiting in the preview or processing areas of the upload facility?

Yup, I understand perfectly. Sometimes it's a good idea to upload with the "preview area" method, even if you think it's done and perfect. You can leave it in preview for up to 30 days before it's deleted, but if you leave it there for a few days, or a week, it often gives you time to discover the "should a's"!

Now if I could only follow my own advice....:hehe:
