do you have another computer to try and download.......

I have several other machines, but I want Trainz on this one: Ryzen 9 7900, 32 gig RAM, RTX 3080.
I can max all the graphics out and still run 30 FPS.

Is anyone else having update issues? I don't have msvcp140_atomic_wait.dll installed anywhere on my Win10 machine. Is this unique to Win11?
First updated Trainz 22PE from 123801 to 126273 without any problems.
Then did TRS22 beta from 123794 to 125409 to 125735 to 125920 to 126123 to 126195 to 126280
All looks good so far.

according to the above page , you need to install visual C++ 2019 -2022 runtime.

Just did a search of my system windows 10 and i have it.

Plus is a monthly or annual membership, there is no lifetime. You may have bought the annual subscription offer that allowed you to keep TRS22 forever, but that is only the standard version, not the Plus version. Check your MyTrainz page to see what you have.

What I always do if a new update comes out.
1. I backup my content folder to an external hard drive
2. Download the full offline installer from the portal.
3. Uninstall Trainz Plus
4. Do a fresh installation.

This works fine for me.

I guess that I will just live w/o the update. I will live with this until it no longer is feasible and then I will be gone. 70 years old and no software is worth this much hassle....constantly having to reinstall either the program or the operating system or both.

If you don't have a Plus or Gold subscription active you need to run the TRS22 Retail version or TRS22 PE Retail. Your MyTrainz page will show which membership you have if any and will show which Trainz downloads are available.

It says that I have Trainz+ which renews Jan 19, 2025. So, I guess I have about 6 months left to use Tr22 because there is NO way that I am giving any more money to this program that requires re-installation once or twice a year. Just not worth the blood pressure increase.

Yup it does. I did that myself because I had done the beta update and didn't want that for my full-version where I had updated earlier to the beta.

Uninstall the broken copy and install the one you downloaded. This will keep your settings and you won't have to reconnect your data folder or sign in. That's how it worked for me anyway.

Hmmmm......not sure what I did. I uninstalled it and then went to the download area under My Downloads or something like that. I clicked on the only Trainz22 that was there and d-led it. Then installed it. Everything works great agin, but now it says that I have 22PE???????

I'm glad to hear that everything works now.

You must've downloaded that instead. If you used TRS22 only, TRS22 PE has some extra goodies. Make sure you download everything available in the Content Store to ensure your built-in and DLC is up-to-date.

If you used Plus, you can use that too but will need to set up another database because you can't share them due to conflicts causing messy things to happen.
