NOOOO!!! Not the MKT heritage unit!!

Urgh, it's bad enough my favorite railroad is merged out of existance, now the heritage unit caught fire?? really?!

this is bad. If they repaint it, will they put the heritage scheme back on, or will the MKT engine just not exist any more?

I'm sure they will put the Heritage scheme back on. Its only minor paint damage, most of the unit is fine. It's suppose to get a partial repaint to fix the damage

phew!!! that's a relief. You'll have to forgive me, though, I'm a diehard Katy fan (thanks to my grandfather, who grew up near the Louisburg, KS-Paola, MO "Bypass" line in the 40s and 50s), its a bit of a disease. Aparrantely there's "narrow guage fever" and "Miss Katy Fever":hehe:. Personally I wish we had some Katy steamers (my favorite engines they ever owned...next to the RS-3Ms) or at least a J-5 Mogul. But enough rambling for one evening.

interesting to note that there's an E-unit there...right near the first steam engine i ever laid eyes on, AT&SF 811...aka "Stephney" as i called her in my younger years. You know she's giving that diesel the stink eye, right?
