-Yea your wrong :p. Been in Denver since July of 2005! I've have even found it to be rare to see any outsiders besides BNSF and UP :(

-Joe

I have only visited my son who lives there and I have only been on the southside of town (Littleton area) and all I have ever seen down that way is BNSF.

Back in the old days, the line running south through Littleton was known as the Joint Line, it was jointly owned by the ATSF, C&S and D&RGW, both the ATSF and C&S, which was apart of BN, are what is now known as the BNSF, and of course, the D&RGW is now a part of the Union Pathetic, I grew up in Littleton, I can remember when there was a lot more colorful railroads going through the area!

UP Railfanning Part 1

One day at West Highland Valley, we caught a pair of former Southern Pacific units idling together. Both units are a GP60 and SD40T-2 respectively.

Later, we traveled to the main town of Highland Valley and caught a Union Pacific autorack train with the Tunnel Motor helping out.

Part 2 of UP Railfanning

Later, it was raining and we were back at West Highland Valley and we were able to catch some SD40-2s pulling past with a freight.

Later, after all that we decided to take a rest, but later that night a Big Boy came by with an excursion. Assisted by two SD40-2s we shot some images from the rear of a UP former CP caboose handled by two GP60s.

Hear we caught it in the tunnel just east of West Highland Valley.
