Union Pacific Screenshots Thread

Cripes Hert, Oxygen tanker & cars for the workers, well thought out!:D

NIARTcar:wave: , you picked my favorite of all the heritage units, the CNW:clap: . I have taken several pics of that engine in real life, it was stationed between Chicago & Belvedere for some time. Looking forward to seeing more UP from you!:Y:

-love the banking consist rule. too bad it doesn't do it for everything but it does it for this consist!

Though there is an 'oxygen' car right behind the locomotive, I'm inclined to go with 'magic':p :hehe:

cheers

Quoting without the picture(yes, it really can be done;) )...

how could the Loco motive work its uses oxygen as part of its combustion process????

My guess, Its fiction, there doesnt have to be facts backing up each and every detail:p , its all done to just plain be something different & fun to make up and run, simple as that;) . Though that type of layout isnt for all of us, I think Herts onto something real neat for some:D .

Yes the whole idea is fiction. Obviously there would be some major challenges and this would probably never happen. But the oxygen tender is used to get oxygen for the cab and any coaches.

Just use a little imagination with it.

I tried to "think outside the box"

hert:wave:

Since you are "outside the box", why not have "Olympus Mons" or "Valles Marineris" instead of "Union Pacific"? Maybe even "Olympus Marineris Railroad"? Sand Runner ships on rails?

IGINC: I was wondering if you could tell me what kind of vegetation are you using in your screen shots? like around you bridge and engine maintenance facility shots?

Is that Phil's loco in 2009/2010

Hi Skidmark,

That Olympic SD70MAc, is that Phil's loco, if yes how did you import it on 09/10.

WOT site still says coming soon for 09/10

-The way i did it was gatekeeper first of course, but install into 04/06 then open everything for edit that involves phil's locos, then in 09/10 import content in the edit folder in 04/06 using cmp!

Some Fantastic shots have been posted since I was here last:clap: :Y: .

Joe, Thanks for asking:D . I have went over this in the past with a couple other folks, though my answer isnt to popular, its exactly what I have done.

If you look closely at my vegetation you'll notice I use not one but several different grasses, weeds, flowers and shrubs, all mixed together to get the look I get, I also use TS2009 ground textures as my base;) .

95% of all the vegetation I use is made by Janvkis:D , most is free on the DLS, though I have bought some of his payware too. Not a popular answer, but I strongly recommend downloading everything Jan has out, thats what I have done and it will give you everything you need to do up some heavy vegetation areas:) .

I second that... download all of Jan's stuff and if you are able purchase some of his payware items. Jan does a really nice job and it keeps getting better with each release.

-well sorry, and thanks for explaining again! i do have a lot of his stuff and currently using them. I don't want to get any of that type of payware cause i don't want to go through with the problems if it can be released with a route or not! i'm currently waiting on some people and its been weeks or months and still no response. keep up the great shots!

Great pic there Deano,Can i ask what version of Trainz your building that route in mate. You mention your using 09 textures so i was just wondering if you started it in another version then moved it up to a later one or what.Keep the great screenies coming anyway mate it's a good thread you have going here.
Cheers Mick.:D
