UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Hunter Tazo If you simply search for 'MK1' on the DLS, there should be a large ammount 'maroon' carriages there, They feature a full interior, they're pssenger enabled and they look excellent. Hope this helps!

Lou T Thanks for pointing that out, I was rushing this so wires not near the tracks was inevitable. Thanks for the comment!

Symon C Thanks for pointing that out aswell, it does actually say 'Woolich Beach' when it should be Woolwich Beach.

Thanks for all the comments!

Cheers,
Bernard

hunter_tazo, there are some cracking Mk Is here http://www.settleandcarlisle.co.uk/ I think you can download them without having the S&C pack.

Incidentally, is that 369 on the DLS?

I don't think it is, but it can be downloaded from here: http://www.vsr.org.uk/index.cgi?projectid=5 :) and thank you for the advice and comments. :)

Also, thanks you Bernard, iv'e been after something like these for ages. :D Very nice route aswell, can't wait to see it finished, and, avalible for download? :p Many thanks again, Tom. :)

I'd better make sure I don't go past Heighington then. ;)

Seriously though - it will be a while before my route is anywhere close to "finished" (once I've finished with the Bishop/Shildon area there's still the Weardale line to do...), but it would be good to have a long term plan in mind.

speaking of which, call me crazy, but im sure everyone in the community has re-created every line in the uk by now....

:p

Just because Michael spends all day sitting on a loo trying to think up new ways to screw the travelling public does not mean that everybody detests him.

Registered as a taxi driver so that he could drive the limo in bus lanes to travel quicker. Employees have to provide own pens and pencils (millions saved there).

Durhamlass, have you seen the current issue of "Railway Bylines" with it's article on Shildon Works and a nice photo of Shildon Yard?

I haven't, but I'll certainly see if I can grab a copy. There are a handfull of pretty good shots in "Railway Memories: Darlington and South West Durham" and "Shildon-Newport in retrospect" as well.

Do you happen to know whgich issue no. I need to look out for?

Just was in WH Smiths yesterday and it's the current issue with a green cover.

Well, I am making it on Trainz 2006, and apparently Auran won't be allowing TRS2006 content uploads to DLS, so I'll need to find out if TRS2006 routes will work on the newer versions of Trainz. If so, then I'll be able to keep on building and hopefully get it done by the end of this year.(Rather Unlikely though)

Well, tommorow, I'm heading off on my Summer Holiday down to Falmouth, Cornwall for the next 2 weeks. So no updates on London Malvern Street for a while, but I'll be posting once I'm back again.

Here's my lot for today, from the newly built Bernsall station.

Looking over the station, a Class 357 arrives with the 13:43 service up from the coast.

Later, a 4 car Class 377 passes through...

...and is shortly followed by Class 90 hauling a load of empty container cars, bound for the docks

As Chief Excutive of Meridian Transport, I have some news for you all...

(Please note that the stations Langton Green and Manston haven't been built yet!)

Cheers,
Bernard

Great shots everyone!

@Bernard: I hope you enjoy your holiday to this part of the country. Sadly the weather hasn't been as good in real life as it is in my screenshots :hehe:

Now the summer holidays are here I decided to post some from the St Ives Bay Line:

CarbisBay04.jpg

Two Class 150s run the branch services in summer, seen here in the cutting at Hawkes Point near Carbis Bay. St Ives can be seen in the distance.

Hayle_Estuary14.jpg

They are seen again passing the Hayle Estuary, Hayle is town in the background.

Passenger Test Services get underway with the new Class 369's, but no one really turned up:hehe:

It's a shame, Meridian were hoping for more passengers. Or maybe it's because no one likes the trains:o (Thats a couple of million pounds wasted then:confused: :hehe: )

Cheers,
Bernard

Hi UK Trainzers!

Flipping heck, marky7890 and nexusdj, those are some amzing shots!:D

Mark, your towns off in the distance are so lifelike, I can just picture the real thing being just like that. (Which is saying a lot, I live on the other side of the world:p! )

And nexus, you're so obviously cheating, those shadows shouldn't be there, but it's not a photograph, so how did you manage it? And please don't say Photoshop.....

Great shots everybody, I'll have to go and make something up of my own now.

Happy Trainzing,;)
Scott.

No Cheating involved the actual pendolino driving coach was sat in the same position when I took a side on photo . (Gantries are placed according to Google earth/photo's) . The shadow on the texture will be removed on the finished version :)
