Not sure - it is 33 years ago lol! I think it may have been a set of NER coal drops because it has a single ZHV parked on it? I intended to donate the signal to Beamish or the NYMR to save it but neither of them wanted it so as far as I know it was cut up and burnt.......
Correction* according to these photos http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/s/st.peters/index.shtml
there was a loop around the back of the Newcastle bound platform. The first time I visited the Riverside Line was in 1976 and all signalling was semaphore except for one at Byker letting you onto the main line. The only signalbox open was Carville, see here for my photo.

Major route first images

OK, as promised here are the first work in progress pictures of my route, containing the re-skinned turbostar. These images are from Matlock station (the route is entirely fictitious and bares no resemblance to real life places although contains real life stations such as Reading, and trains such as Virgin Voyager)

First pic post hope you like

Darklordd! That was definetley worth the wait! The route looks excellent!

Back to London Malvern Street and the line is getting further out of London. I have finished London City Airport and I am now moving on to a much more sub-urban part of the line. I have plans that this may be a 4 line part of the route to allow express and local services. The first stop after crossing under the Thames Tunnel is Woolwich Beach. This is still very much WIP

Hi Michael,

Ah, that makes sense now! No worries. :)

Care to consider a route merge and/or custom asset share* at some time in the future? It would seem to make sense to do that rather than duplicate effort.

* assuming I actually get around to building custom assets for the route, of course!

Merging would be a great idea at some time in the future. But i've not been working on my route as long as you have on yours. So it will be a long while.

Wow darklord! your turbostar
( or should that be turdostar - i hate modern units ) Skin looks amazing!!! keep up the good work and we might have a new re - skinner on our hands!

Keep up the good work

This is a route im making, this part of the route, (rather obviously) is supposed to be my home town, its about 10% of a route im making, and i would say the route itself is about 6% done.
although its not finished yet, heres glorious lincoln

A 67 pulls coal through Lincoln central on a friday night.

A 66 waits fro the light to change as the first of many passangers enter Lincoln central on a very early summer morning.

I might add more pictures if people want them, lincoln is the nearest thing to complete on my route but i have used a lot of boring samey looking building splines. and theres no tree's in the city centre yet =/

but feedback and advice is mroe than welcome! :p

Sam.

intercityboy: look at the ends of the platforms in the shots you posted, you could do with putting something like a low wall there to make them look like they are touching the ground.

Phil

Great shots all! Just wondering if anyone knows were I can obtain some high quality MK1's? Thanks. :) Anyhow, screenies... Today we are Trainz Spotting at Highwater, 1992. :)

A packed Class 313, drops of passengers, next to a waiting Class 158:

Another packed commuter train, this time a Class 141, drops of commuters:

A highly out-dated Class 105 picks up commuters:

A Class 37, hauls some old wagons, to either be bought by a preservation society, or scrapped:

Finally, a Class 442 "Wessex Electric", unuaslly stops to pick up passengers. Later we found out it was just a new timetable... :hehe:

Thanks, Tom.

Bernard I really would advise moving your overhead wires so that it is nearer the track centre as the pantograph will not stay attached to the overhead wire :) OTHER than that nice screenies and reskin :)

Fab shots from everyone as usual!

Woolwich Beach and the surrounding area:

Cheers,
Bernard

Your route seems to be coming on nicely. Don't know if it's the angle of the shot but in your first pic it looks like there is a "w" missing on the station name board "Woolich Beach" instead of "Woolwich Beach"

NB: Haven't been on here for a while as I've had computer problems, but have a shiny new laptop now so hope to start a new route soon.

Merging would be a great idea at some time in the future. But i've not been working on my route as long as you have on yours. So it will be a long while.

I'd better make sure I don't go past Heighington then. ;)

Seriously though - it will be a while before my route is anywhere close to "finished" (once I've finished with the Bishop/Shildon area there's still the Weardale line to do...), but it would be good to have a long term plan in mind.

Durhamlass, have you seen the current issue of "Railway Bylines" with it's article on Shildon Works and a nice photo of Shildon Yard?

Thanks again, Tom. :)

I love those 66's and the 57's, got to be the highest quality loco's that are compatible with 2004 around. I'm not having a go at anybody elses content by the way, 90% of the stuff on the DLS is top notch but those two take it a step further.

Edit: Well not those two but the locomotive models on which the reskins are overlaid should I say ;)
