Great shots all

Just a few ones from me, not many new ones due to my laptop cable being chewed open by my cats:: :(

You can do it

I wished my layout looked as good as Angela's. Great work ..

Dear Paul,
You can do it just the same, it just takes time I am afraid, a commodity most people have not got while I seem to have loads of the stuff.
I noticed, I think in another section, that somebody wanted wider grass splines because laying 2 side-by-side didn't look right. I lay lots of the same splines beside each other and find the results very pleasing and natural looking.
The ones used are either FMA or JVC, depending on what I want, but I often overlay with another spline and/or a static object such as individual clumps. This helps to break up any tendancy to look too uniform.
But I admit I do lack inspiration at times....

The best way is to look at the real world and try to replicate it, you can't go far wrong doing that. For Bristol, my WCL1/2, the K&ESR and Hayling Island I used Google Earth to view the area and tried to reproduce it as closely as possible. I use 2 PCs for this, grab the images with ScreenThief then transfer them to a data stick and plug that into the second PC so I can view each one or multiple images by linking them together. There, my secret is out!!

Thank you for your kind comments,

Angela

Hi Angelah ,

The quality of the images is really magnificent.

The freshness of waterfalls, the fabulous cascade and the environment are

to take the breath away there.

A realization and a creation deserving of an artist on the subject.

I like and I am under the charm.

Wonderful!!! :Y:

Amicably Frédo.

Fredo

Good morning Fredo,

You are too kind... and thank you for the charming way you put your sentiments.
Of course most will have noticed I forgot to change the AJS Canopy End to Barrel, that's why it is sticking up in a point!
Still more to do on this route, a couple of large bare areas to put something or other in but inspiration is lacking at the moment.
This began life as a challenge (and rather fairy-tale'ish being called Overhills and Faraway!) to see how I could reproduce waterfalls but I got carried away and it grew.....
This is a rather grandiose route but I also love the simplicity of single lines and have done at least one (two, Branchline SLW and Hayling Island). It is still scenery after all, no matter how many tracks are laid and that is what I love, creating the scene.

Still following the exploits of your routes, really beautiful scenes there, captivating I think.

Bless you,

Angela

What is being refered to is the name of the Steam Loco (Merchant Navy Class Number 35005) Which was named of the ocean liner company Canadian Pacific.

Oh ya...in the 40s and 50s CP Rail utilized various ships and airplanes until they decided to just stick with trains.

Thanks for the info and sorry to hijack the thread.
