The livery on this one is some what of a cross between GNER and East Coast, the livery change on my fiction unit was based on the new Virgin East Coast livery

The chinking of milk bottles and an electric motor, breaks the silence of a sunny Sunday morning, then suddenly the rumble of the hourly DMU as it passes overhead and another electric motor of a Metropolitan Line train joins in with the dawn chorus. After this momentary interlude of noise, peace is resumed.

The sluggish burbling of a Class 31 on a transfer freight in North London is in contrast to the swift efficiency of the A stock rushing by.

Great shots all!

Hayden Trains unveils its newest project - The refurbishment, reformation and rebranding of its 12 Mk4 consists. The Mk4s were previously used on Northern Mainline services out of Hayden Central, with Class 91 locos (HT only owns 9 class 91s, meaning sets 8,9 and 11 are in storage). Due to surplus stock, it was decided to reform 4 of the sets (sets 1-4) into 6 coach sets, and use them with the new class 60 and 66 locos on diesel Fimbar Line services, and on express services around Bromingham. Sets 8,9 and 11 will be brought out of storage and will also go to Bromingham, but will retain their original 9 coach formation. The left over sets (5,6,7,10 and 12) will remain working the Northern Mainline, alongside voyagers leased to make up for the set shortage.

Set 9, out of the shed for the first time in years, pauses at Wendsey Central on its maiden voyage:

The refreshed interior:

Although hauled today by 91139, also in the new HTEU livery, set 9 will soon be paired with 66201 "Mackay" when it arrives after being upgraided for push-pull operation:

A side view of set 9 in HTEU livery:

Speaking of class 66; the first of 10 class 66s returns from the works. These 10 locos are being heavily upgraded for 110mph running and push-pull operation with a set of Mk3/4 coaches and DVT. Here 66168 "Goddard" is seen (before its nameplates have been applied) after completing its first shakedown run, from Shotton plant to Awsworth hauling 6 Mk3s:

I've started Building Exton's Underground network. It'll have a loop like several real subway networks do, particularly like London's Circle Line and Merseyrail's Wirral line. I've decided on using class 508s on the route.

Two Class 508s, brand new from MerseyRail and still in their original liveries meet each other in the underground tunnels at CBS (Central Bus Station) Junction, both operating on the Circle Line (Denoted by the 'C' on the Theatre Box).

I've made a little route map for the underground network so I have a plan of what I'm building with the underground:
The Ranch Line will leave the tunnels and run alongside the high speed line through the car terminal all the way to south plains, and the Metropolitan line is the only completely overground part of the network, as it is elevated similar to how the New York City Subway is. The map is incomplete, I still have to finish the Metropolitan Line, and the Central City line after Central Station needs to be planned.

Away from the Underground, the High-Speed Depot, less than a mile from Downtown Exton. Two of the modified ICE Units are present. The prototype - Given TOPS Classification as 398 001 sits at the platform alongside the shed, where another unit, numbered as 398 105 sits idle in the stabling shed. Rather Oddly, the prototype is the only unit that was given Class 398/0, and the remaining standard service units are all Class 398/1s. 398 001 was used when testing the high speed line to see what speeds it could take, by setting the line's speed record at ~500km/h (~310mph). The Service units are limited at 260mph until purpose built pantographs and bogies arrive for the service units. Also in shot are two "Taurus" Locomotives, still in their original OBB Liveries, however modified for the line. These were introduced for rescuing failed ICE units from the mainline, and an experimental highspeed freight programme, in an attempt to remove some of the freight load from the existing north-south mainlines. I'll mention this in more detail with later posts. In the distance you can see the start of the Underground lines, currently being built on the surface, for each section to be sunk when complete.

*Probably the least British looking shot on this thread, hopefully should look better when I've designed the High Speed livery, complete with regulation yellow fronts.

Sorry to sound pushy, but THERE'S NOTHING THERE!
I tried, but Tumblr was acting up. Anyways...

A 31 and 24 tackle a night Northbound goods, accelerating out of Belling Yard. The train was shunted into the departure line by Class 08, seen in the back. A Class 03 rests on the turntable, and large diesels wait in the engine yard.

Sheer power can be seen in the loco lights themselves- The loco refuel area in Belling Junction houses a couple locomotives, due to take over on some night arrivals.

*More to come soon*
