Hi all,

A few shots from my current WIP, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway. These pictures show the Winchcombe area, with the yard and general layout as well as the station itself.
Hope to have it released soon(ish) but in the meantime, a slightly older demo version can be found on my site: www.trainzheritagerailways.jimdo.com.

On a slightly unrelated note, does anyone know any ways I can improve my screenshot quality. At the moment I'm just taking screenshots outputted by Trainz and cropping the HUD out.

You've captured the cluttered feel of a preserved railway very well.

Thank you, it took a while to get it looking 'right' but amazing what some stock and some grass can do...
Here's another few shot of Winchcombe coming along nicely. And apologies to anyone who tried, but it appears the demo isn't actually on the site. I'll upload it soon. In the meantime, if you want the demo PM me and I'll send it.

The Sodor wagons are there as a bit of nostalgia - I went there as a young child and remember seeing Toad the brakevan and those two wagons in that siding as one of the Day Out with Thomas pieces of stock. Always remembered it since!
Many thanks,

Hi all,

A quick update: I have to say I'm pretty pleased with this. The only thing is, I use SketchUp for my models (I know, polygon heavy yadda yadda) and so know how to fix it, but if you look at the 'box the interior walls are missing. Either that, or made of glass...

Strathcarron Isle

After many years lurking in the shadows I finally feel I have a layout coming close to the standards I want to display to other users.....I am using photobucket so apologies if it is a little slow,
A first screenshot post for me, this is Strathcarron Isle a route which at present only covers one short branch line from the former port to the city of Abercarron, a mainline extends out to the North, a regional line ot the West and currently under construction is the eastern route to Port Killearn.

A 150 pulls away from Connaugh Quay with the first city bound service of the morning.....

Double headed 37s power toward Brewery Junction with a loaded MGR bound for Carronhead Power Station

A 47/8 workhouse gathers speed as it sweeps through Mason Rise out of the city and toward County Killearn with the airport and ferry passengers bound for the mainland

A Voyager is spotted from the city walls on test as it passes over the roof of Barrington Market. the low level commuter line that passes directly through the city can be seen in the foreground

Finally, for this post, a view of Abercarron St. Vincent Square, the southern terminus of the mainline.

Plenty more where they came from, as I improve and super detail various locations on the route.....

Journey's End

Six and a half hours from Waterloo and now just a mile from Padstow, a T9 draws the westernmost portion of the Atlantic Coast Express across Little Petherick Creek, some time in the 1950s.

An airport express navigates through Kirkhall Junction

An MGR crawls past the Argus Brewery Yard as it rejoins the branchline

37410 prepares to open up the throttle as it curves past the now closed Danburgh Power Station on one side and the cemetery on the other as it starts the long road into the north west

26025 sits on the head of a track removal train on the freight only spur that feeds Carronhead Oil Terminal and Power Station alongside a local scrap merchant. The decision to lift the track and reduce the spur to a single line has infuriated the freight customers
