UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Here are a few from my latest, and as yet unabandoned route. Hehe. Patience is a virtue I'm sadly lacking...

A very mixed goods train heads north through Burdale, based on the photo on page 44 of Warwick Burton's book "The Malton & Driffield Junction Railway"

@ hunter_tazo

Its a route i'm building of the ECML from Croft through to Durham and with the Bishop Auckland branch.
Then I'm going to add the Bishop Auckland to Durham line eventually.

hiya ekin

Looking nice we are getting a few more northeners on this thread now good luck with your route, where did you get the coal staithes from they look good.

Just a suggestion for Bernard430, & others, to help turn an OK route into a great one, (no offence).
Use the copy & paste tool to a get much better look to the landscape. Use mixed textures in a small area, then use copy & paste to enlarge the area.
Once you have a large enough textured area, you can texture whole boards very quickly & it looks far better than one single texture, using the "fill board" tool. Also works for objects & height too, its very easy to do!

@ tankbob

Thank you for your comment!! :)

As the railways started in Darlington, thought it was about time Darlington and the Bishop Auckland to Teeside route (former S&D) was incorporated in to a route. And of course Darlington is my home town.

The coal staithes are made from

Trestle Kit Center 2B

&

Coal Staithes

I make my own Coal Drops. This large set at Malton are made of "Stone Retaining Wall Dirty" with "Track Rails only" and (I think)" NG Mine Dump Track" for the handrails. The space between the tracks is filled in with "Wooden Crossing Boards".

@ lewisner

Thanks for that photo showing your excellent looking coal drops.
That style of coal drop would look great for the next part of my route. Darlington Power station.
