In my personal opinion, the ugliest locomotive or train in general is the General Electric E60 electric locomotive that failed to stop the Pennsylvania Railroad GG1 until EMD unveiled the AEM-7 and together in a sense, they made the 'G' obsolete.

I was flipping through back issues of TRAINS, and David P Morgan, the illustrious Potomic Pundit called it better looking than F40PH, ah well, lump most of Amtraks locos together and you have a good defintion of ugly. Ever seen their first paint job for the E units?
Anyhow, just trolling for the FM H-12-46 (6 cyl, a1a-a1a trainmaster), and this came up....
THis look like anything familiar? Certainly not an FM, but Google thinks so, and you can't doubt Google at all except for one day of the year, 4-1-xxxx....
But the valve motion and draftgear is actually done correctly! Whodathunk artists can do research?
