hi im new to trainz and i installed trainz 2009 and i notice that there are some tains that i dont have but i seen on youtube like the ones from new york MTA i wondering do you make them yourself or do you download them from a certain place if anybody can help me with this problem thanx

Welcome to the forums.

In order to download the majority of content, you must register your serial number with N3V. This can be done by clicking Planet Auran above, then Serial Number, then fill in the form.

Once you have registered your serial number with Planet Auran, launch Trainz. After the diagnostic check, you will see this window:

There should be a 5-digit number on the bottom-right of the window (denoted in the image). Go here and find that number, then download the appropriate patches for your version of Trainz. Exit Trainz and install those patches in the correct order until you reach Build 44653.

When finished, launch Trainz again and click "Content" as shown below.

You may have to wait a while as Trainz builds its asset database. When that process has completed, you will see a window called "Content Manager 2.9". Here you can search for content on the Download Station, the freeware resource for Trainz. Simply enter what you want and add additional filters such as Category (Rolling Stock, Route, Train Vehicle, etc.), Author (some people have really excellent content for Trainz), and Minimum Build Version (Trainz Builds under 2.7 are no longer supported by Auran, and assets with obsolete Builds may show errors).

hey i i registred my serial and i did the diagnostic but i still dont see the build number

2009 is showing on your version timeline, so you have successfully registered. Once the patching is complete you will be able to peruse the DLS and find more content. If you can't find what you want there, post back with specific items and we will be able to help you find them, or Google each one, and you may see that it is available on a third party website.
