brickbuilder: Sure thing ill be more then happy to help beta test for you!
Im all trying to see if i can go to the FECRS convention: I should know within about a week from now.

Train 222 August 18, 2008

With the approach of T.S. Fay, on Monday, and today (Tuesday), classes were annulled due to the effects of Fay. Thus, I went out and followed 222 yesterday evening. 222 is Miami to Jax Intermodal, and often autoracks, rock, and even manifest. Today he only has long TOFC and autos.

First place, as always, is Miami Canal.

Next, we got him at 7th Avenue, towards El Portal and Miami Shores.

the area is still WIP. Next up, we show cabride footage through parts of Northern Dade County and southern Broward County.

Then, we pass short 218 as 970 is about done for the day. He's leaving at 6:30pm.

New River, Oakland Park, and Pompano lie ahead with cab and paceage.

The last shot has 102 blowing the horn for Atlantic Avenue. Subsequently, it was time to head home. The lack of traffic proved strongly how people got set for Fay. That is all for today.

In just a few months, Hialeah Yard will be in for a good change. Well, here are pics of the existing yard, from the autorack ramps to the intermodal to all 20 or so yard tracks.

The following part is WIP in terms of scenery...

I may be a bit wrong on the following configuration... The yard office, lights, canal and gates will be added soon, since I have not gotten around to that...

I may have 101 screenshots for you in a few days... :)

Some awesome screenshots here! =) This looks like a great route...keep up the great work! ^^

will this have tri-rail in it?

The question actually is if Tri-Rail content is available for Trainz. ;) :p As far as I know, there are absolutely no Tri-rail items on DLS or anywhere. Nonetheless, I will add stations that are compatible with loading and unloading. Yet, until Tri-rail content becomes available, 3/4 of the stations are useless! :p ;)

Trirail Catch 22

look what i have here: screen shots of tri rail content however, I did these long ago but never got permission to upload these unfortunately. Maybe it was for the better they are out-dated (Quality wise). One thing that bugs me is that the tri rail f40ph skin for i did is broken. The art files went missing in a transfer. I guess that means ill have to redo them, oh well. This will be my project for this week maybe better luck with them this time around?

I don't find those out-dated at all. Too bad we can't get them. Will yuo at least be able to release the f40 reskin or is that also private?

Thanks

Davis

Alright, class is in session... :p

The first pic + the second pic = Total :udrool:

These cars are excellent and perfect for my route.

Meanwhile I have been taking a break from the routes, and I promise about my return to progress. Delayments are coming due to school and homework.

FEC:
Beta: Early November
Release: Late November
Sessions: Mid December

CSX:
Beta: Mid January
Release: Early Feb.
Sessions: Late Feb.

Lookin' good :D

Thanks! There will be bridges from Atilabarut on top of all this diverse content so you have a lot to look forward to!

Unfortunately though I am going to miss the fair arrangement in Hialeah. What is going to happen is that the autoracks are moving to where the intermodal currently is and that the ToFC will move to Medley.

I finally went back to work on the Pompano stretch, and have come up with this at 36th Street. This area is WIP, and more texturing and scenery will follow.

It is empty between 6th and 36th, until I can locate my maps... :o

My FEC Route Now Uses Some YARN Signs! Also, 101 on 2 routes

On a Friday, I go on a day trip to Central and Northeastern Florida. First up, at FECRailway_Richard's Oak Hill section, we meet 101. 101 is a Southbound Intermodal train, but today, he's fully loaded with a string of empty rock, intermodal, manifest, and autos! It seems that business is up as of late in south Florida! Or maybe they annulled some trains!:p The following two shots are from FECRailway_Richard's route.

Note how 101 is that "never ending" kind of train, according to the first shot! ;)

We reach South Florida and my route.

Night falls, and first we follow 101 through Pompano, then comes New River, Hollywood, and finally, the starting point for northbounds, Okeechobee Road's new depression.

That is all for the night!

Unfortunately, the consist does vary. I set up 101 as a consist and had to load the cars up again for my route after running it in FECRailway_Richard's route... However, you may not easiy notice the difference in the portion in my route because the train passes through at night...

As for progress, the route has reached Deerfield Beach, but a 2.5-mile section is still awaiting scenery in Pompano. Hopefully, in the coming week, I can do the industries that FEC serves down the line at Hialeah!

Whether for the good, or for the bad, the issue with my FEC 2020 route is its enormous scope.

A 351 mile mainline is large enough when done in full one foot equals one foot. But once I reached Jay Jay and the interchange with NASA Railroad, I decided to lay all of the NASA trackage as well.

I planned the north end of this FEC route to be Beaver Street in Jacksonville. But before I knew it, I was building the CSX and NS yards.

On the south end, I continued the tracks ten miles past Miami International Airport to where they actually ended when I worked in Hialeah yard.

I attended the meetings for the South Florida East Corridor study which had the goal of bringing commuter rail service along the FEC right of way. The large number of stations purposed would have caused major problems for the freight service.

Instead I used a three tier system with express service by train, local service via monorail, and street level service by bus.

In the year 2020, the new monorail beamway has reached Tequesta and is about to cross over the FEC next to US Highway #1 just north of Camp Murphy.

Monorail.jpg

The FEC has reclaimed their K Branch. I model the route west to the wye at Lake Harbor and beyond to the US Sugar Plant at Clewiston.

LHwye.jpg

Rather than spending the money to double track the FEC and increasing the rail traffic congestion through the coastal cities in South Florida, the FDOT funded the construction of the South Bay Extension running along US Highway 27 from the west end of Medley north to South Bay.

This sixty mile extension through swamp and farmland reduces the crossings encountered from Hialeah to Fort Pierce by three hundred.
