Tunnel Troubles

Hi,
I'm having a great deal of trouble creating a tunnel with Trainz 2010 EE at present which is becoming extreemly frustrating.
When I had Trainz 2004 the process to create a tunnel was no problem, I have also watched the process on u tube for creating a tunnel and looks the same as before but with 2010 and using the AJS Double track tunnel which seems to be the only tunnel available in the sim using the same process as before does not work raising the terrain over the tunnel only fills the tunnel in. Has the process for creating a tunnel changed since 2004 am I missing something.
Help is always appreciated with the problem.

Regards,
Bob from Oz.

AJS tunnels require the use of a dighole to make a gap in the terrain, then masking pieces to hide the hole. The great advantage of these excellent tunnels is that placement is free and not confined by the base grid. What I call 'Auran' type tunnels (still available) snap to the grid at 90 or 45 degrees and are very limiting.

Hi Ray,
Thanks for the info about the AJS Tunnels, I can now go ahead with the Route I'm making been away from Trainz too long.

Bob.

Hi Bob

Glad to help. For general information - there are a number of scenery objects and splines on the DLS that can be used to conceal digholes, including some by AJS. I have at times made my own (using TACS/GMax) as simple slabs with a suitable texture and of a size that I need for a specific purpose. Incidentally, for anyone starting in GMax (or presumably Blender, although I have no experience of the latter) this could be a good first project.
