TUME’s Simulation of “The Milwaukee Road”

TUME. Your quest, if you wish to fufill it. Cover the whole Milwaukee system from Chicago Union to the Pacific Northwest (which you already have, of course)

That would be epic.

Yeah that would be great to get this done in Trainz.

But - if I consider that it requires quite a lot of work to create all the needed buildings, special structures, textures and so on and also to do all the landscape decoration to create the route,
I may be will not live long enough to do so :-)
But there is hope as N3V announced to develop multi-user-surveyor-functionality. If that will work, I may think about the possibility to start a collaboration to get things faster done.

Great job on the current work there TUME. Will this be a future a DLC add on or will it be a free instant updates for the built in one? Plus will any of your other Milwaukee Road Engines be included in the update?

whistle for the 4-8-4
on model the s1 and s2 do have whistle but I do not know if they had horn add at build or a later date

the s3 are different they have a whistle and horn

261 have two whistles one MILW and the most used is a ATSF one and the horn

Note The ATSF one was added by the Friends of the 261 for better whistle than the MULW one

Hello and Merry Christmas to all of you.

This year (2016) I have made just very slow progress at all of my trainz projects - because I had much less spare time as before.
But during the last weeks I startet final land decoration between Lozeau und Tarkio, Mt.
Just see some screens from that location.

Have some nice days :-)

Happy New Year to all of you :-)

Just two screens from my Milwaukee Road Alberton - Avery (in progress).
It indicates the NP-Line along Clark Fork River (still in use today) at Quartz Creek Viaduct.

Hello,

at the moment I am about to do final landscape decoration alongside Clark Fork River at the MILW-Alberton-Avery-Route.
At the screens you can see a MILW freight going westbound north of Whisky Gulch and south of the Quarz Flats Rest Area beside Interstate 90. This place is located north of Tarkio, Mt. A Little more north the MILW went over Interstate 90 but this overpasss has been removed long ago.
The other two sceens indicates a BN freight going westbound just in the opposite of the MILW line across Clark Fork River.

Nice Work TUME, glad to see your still alive, we rarely hear from you now a days. Love what I see so far, keep up the good work.

Tume -
Great stuff. The Clark Fork is one of my favorite drives when going cross country from the west coast to the mid-west. Avery-Drexel continues to give great pleasure over the years. Your work giving it seasonal capabilities adds so much to the route. I look forward to the day when one can take a consist across the Columbia from Beverly and up the grade to the Yakima valley

Found this wandering through an old MLW passenger car a few years ago.

Thanks for your compliment.

That passenger car probably was one of my MILW-Coaches or MILW-Sleeping cars. I placed some of such screen shots as picture textures into the car-interiors.

Well as you can see there is already a train crossing the Beverly Bridge in Trainz - TRS2004 in this case. I started working at the Warden-Ellensburg-Section in 2005 and interrupred it in 05/2006 to go for Avery-Drexel first. Althought I used to be back working at the Warden-Ellensburg-(Othello-Kittitas)-Section from time to time, it is far away from being finished.
My plan is to do the whole Coast-Division after finishing Alberton-Avery and furthermore I want to do "The Gap" (Avery-Othello) as well. But this is really not going to happen in the next future - unfortunately. I whish I could spend more time in this, but I need to work in my job during the day ... :-)

Hello everybody,

no – it is NOT an update about the 4-8-4, because I am still about to learn how to create a working steam cab including all necessary script stuff including all handling about water and coal fuel indication and so an …
… and still I cannot say when it will be ready – so please forgive me.

But I could make a lot of progress at the Milwaukee Road Alberton – Avery subdivision. Therefore I have got enough landscape decoration to be able to take some footage from it – without having too much ”white areas” in background.
Just take the video as a state of progress report. You can watch an eastbound freight moving between Lozeau and Tarkio, Mt. Although I still need to add several details even at that portion of the route, the video provides an imagination how the route will eventually look like.
Have fun watching it :-)

Tume I seen some modelers that can do a great job on rendering trains. I want to contact one to do the S3 northern and cars so that frees you to do others things

Hello everybody,
just some screens from my Milwaukee Road Alberton - Avery subdivision, but this time from the Northern Pacific line running alongside the Clark Fork River in the oppisite of the Milwaukee Road. Different to the Milwaukee Road line the ex NP track is still in use today. Mostly BNSF and MRL trains travels on that track going from Missoula via Superior and St.Regis to Paradise, Mt or the other way around.

My-Trainz-Screenshot-Image.jpg

Here a BN eastbound train passed through a tunnel a little north of near Quarz Creek Trestle.

Looking south from above Quarz Creek Trestle. The Milwaukee Road line runs at the opposite of the river.

Looking north from above Milwaukee Road's Tarkio Substation. To the right goes Interstate 90 and the NP line goes in the background just above the river.

The BN eastbound approaches Rivolet, Mt.

Oh yay!!!

These remain some of my favorite electrics to run, the sound still sends chills down my back. It will be so good to have an even greater distance to drive them.

Hello @ all,

I have done some progress at the “Milwaukee Road Alberton – Avery” route. Its about terrain height correction and decoration in the eastern and western areas of Tarkio and Lozeau, Mt.

The video “Trainz: A New Era: Milwaukee Road Alberton - Avery state of progress video – Notch 8!” indicates the work progress west of Lozeau, Mt.
A eastbound freight pulled by four SD40-2 goes travels at Lozeau, Mt in notch 8! Have fun watching it.

As described before, the route eventually will reach all the way between Frenchtown, Mt in the east and to Avery, Id in the west.
But still there is a lot of work to do at that route.
