TTC Discussion

BAH!!! Where did they all go?!?!

Oh. So no H5's, right? That's just sad ! :'( :'( :'( Where did they all go?!?! Surely the TTC hasn't decided that it's time to get rid of them, did they? I never even rode on the T1 Prototype! What else could be the matter?

yea, no H5's, that i seen today. They were probably in service or at the yard, even though i didn't see one a Davisville. NO the TTC isn't getting rid of them just yet, remember, I seen some on thursday, so there still out.:) Don't worry, i didn't really stay at the station, all day:p i went other places too, i only seen about 7 subways today, but they were only T1's! Oh and i seen a H1 today!:D but it was at the Davisville yard, parked..

Yes. I heard H1's are parked at Davisville, but I never actually payed attention to spot it. That will change, though. :p I also wish the H4's were kept. If I'm riding an H5 or H6 in the winter, it's cold in those trainz. :p :p :p :hehe: :hehe: :hehe:

I heard that the TTC likes using the H4's in the winter because it breaks work better that the rest of the fleet! For some reason, even with slippery rails, they work really well!:) and the train that was parked on the side track at Davisville, had one of the cars (i think the middle cars) with a sign saying Sheppard-younge! Didn't get a picture of it though;)

Is that a Not In Service Rollsign ?

yes it is!:)
I was looking threw my pictures of doors open, and i have a picture of the controls of a H4, but it's on the side view, not straight. and the Don Mills sign!:d but the Don Mills sign, you can't see to well, it's like the not in service sign, but mostly white.:(

Weeeeel, According to Transit Toronto:

As the H-2 cars were being delivered, however, the TTC decided to do some experimenting after all. Cars 5500 through 5505 of the H-2 series were equipped with Hitachi chopper controls and evaluated by the TTC in 1973. These cars were initially classified as H-3 series, but were reconverted back into H-2s in 1984. The chopper control experiment proved successful and was built into the later H-5 model series. Unlike the later chopper-control cars, however, the experimental H-3s issued a loud buzz whenever they were in motion, not just when accelerating or braking.

Anyone been on them?

I like it, but he didn't walk through the whole car to capture the details I'll need. :hehe:
It's still nice, however, I'll need to find 5796...and FAST!! (No speculation as to why that is, please)

Seen them all. :hehe:

I have no clue as to what I'll model first, because I don't have enough shots of any of the current fleet. :o Also, if I do get pics of them earlier, nothing will happen in the GMAX Workshop until I upgrade my PC for the upcoming TS2009.:D

well, i think you would do a T1, since i have mainly the pictures you wanted of them. but what do you mean "Also, if I do get pics of them earlier, nothing will happen in the GMAX Workshop" do you mean if you get pictures now, you wont do anything till Trainz 2009?
