TS2010 treez disappear in winter?

I am running the ECML Kings Cross York route.
I play around with the season, and some strange thing happens.
A lot of the treez disappear when the season goes from October into November. A few change to fall colors in October, but until April, so many treez are missing.

I understand why this happens; It's because the creator or the route didn't bother to place the fall colored and winter treez on the route and assign them to layers.
For treez to change color and to drop leaves in winter, you need layers for the different seasons.
I'm not sure how you get layers to automatically hide or show depending on the season, but I suspect they can be programmed to do that.

The treez in this route look really fantastic anyway. I have never seen such real-looking trees as these.
Some in the USA routes aren't so nice, but it's all a matter of what the route's creator decided to use.

Another thing: This route is huge, and has a lot of detail, looks great, but I'm afraid my aging system is having trouble keeping up with it.
I am having to over-clock my system just to get a tad more smooth in the screen redraw.

I think that the trees disappear in winter because the CC didn't place the winter trees, just the green leaf ones, and some of the fall ones.
Checking out the route in Surveyor, I think one could figure out how to place the winter trees so that they appear and disappear when they are supposed to.

I have not yet learned how to associate layers with seasons, but obviously it can be done.

The tree is placed once for each location. Speedtrees have images for the four seasons and snow as part of the asset. So the winter season appearance occurs as the date changes. North and South hemisphere is controlled by World origin so in December deciduous trees will be bare in UK but full leafed in NZ and OZ. You can see the seasons change by going into Surveyor and from the menu choose Edit Environment. Then change the calender date. Layers have nothing to do with this process. The speedtree can be placed in any Route or Session layer. Indeed in multiple layers. I have multiple layers set up with one for each of Speedtree, dmDrake, Jankvis, Lots_Trains and TMN so I can compare by switching layers on or hiding them. Note that Speedtrees have a visibility-radius within which they are visible.

Well, I can't say that SpeedTrees disappear, but most of the trees do disappear when I change the season to winter (northern hemisphere).
