All excellent advice. Thank you. I will contact ebay to see if i can get a refund on monday.
No need to wait till Monday, and ill advised to "put it off". Claims must be submitted within a certain period of time...sooner is better.
-If you paid with PayPal, file a Claim thru them immediately.
As a seller on Ebay, I can tell you, the seller you bought from will NOT be able to provide you with a product key for the disks you currently have. You will need to return them, and hope the next set is not also missing a key.
-I would advise you to purchase directly from N3V, or the Apple App store, if you want to be able to use the program before Break is over. Return shipping and re-shipping will take several days to three weeks.
-Once your Claim is concluded, and you get your purchase price and original shipping refunded, you will still need to either pay for return shipping, or negotiate with the seller for a discount...since you can't keep something you get a refund for, and it's of no use anyway. Generally, PayPal will not force a seller to pay return shipping...sometimes a seller will send you (via email) a prepaid shipping label, but most times, it is up to the buyer to pay return postage, regardless of fault or defect. There are exceptions, such as if they sent you a completely wrong item (confused your order with someone elses), but a defective product is not "completely wrong", just "broke".
