When you install TRS2006 under Vista, do so as an Administrator, and run the program as an Administrator. This will allow the program to write the data files properly and allow you to save any routes that you are working on.
If it's your computer, login as administrator so you can run all programs as administratior. Also go to Control Panel - Security Center and turn off the UAC (User Account Control).
