My PC is more than capable to run Trainz! There are too many bugs, patches and faulty content.

There are many people (me among them) who have a very positive experience of TS12, and as your PC is "more than capable" what does that leave that might not be functioning correctly?

As you only have the old 06 version, I assume then that you also have a very powerful single core CPU?
Just curious as 06 cannot use multi core cpu's.....

Well, that's called "magical thinking". There will be no mystical figure arising to wave their hand over your computer and set everything right.
So, you give up then? There are fine people here that are happy to help, but they need some information from you. Shall we just take it on your word that your PC is "more than capable"? Does your car mechanic need to see your car to fix it?
If you're serious about wanting to run Trainz better, then help us help you, if not, then you have nothing to complain about.

I have noticed that you only have Trainz 2006, from my point of view, this was one of the best Trainz versions ever released, the only problem I had, was the daft sounds coming from all over the map, which sadly was never fixed.
The best Trainz version I have ever seen was Trainz 2010, you had the choice of Native and Compatibility Mode, this was a great thing that kept the old DLS items alive, however, a computer upgrade is a must if you ever decide to go forward with Trainz 2010.
I also have to say Trainz 2012 does look a lot better than all previous versions of Trainz, graphics and frame rate wise, the only bit I don't like, is the new on screen display in driver, it is awkward, fiddly, not user friendly, and just not trainz at all, plus everything which was easy to access, for example camera angles, are now hidden away. If you want Trainz 2012, then you will definitly need to upgrade your computer to top spec, otherwise jarring, stuttering and crashing occurs.

As in my previous reply, the graphic 'glitches' should have been fixed in the update for the Duchess Class pack.
If you haven't tried the update, then I really can't suggest much beyond trying the updated pack. We can't do much more than fix them
Totally underwhelmed with the update.
Sounds are monotonous over anything more than 45mph.
Exhaust and steam effects are quite poor.
Coach interiors are not bad.

TS12 Issues and Difficulties
I purchased TS12 a few months ago as a way of retraining my brain in spacial abilities. I had a serious head injury and use TS12 as not only a fun game to play, but a rehab tool. I find that my learning curve is very slow, and, yes, my computer lags some....but it is a 3 year old laptop. if you are having trouble with TS12, don't just rant....do something about it. I find the game very rewarding and a great healing tool. Remember, every program has problems. if it all worked perfectly there would be no need to reach further out and learn to solve problems. Perfection gives no room for improvement or innovation. TS12 is a very good program! Keep it up AURAN!
