Tram signals vary in appearance from country to country, but there are European style ones on the DLS by RW1HH, BOAT and myself. Mine have the greatest range of signals, but BOAT's are for his ATLS system that allows for advanced traffic and tram control (there are also compatible American style traffic lights to go with them).

Thank you Chris and Paul very much for your input!!:)

To be honest, I am going to experiment with Boat's system to see how that pans out!!

while on the topic of trams... (as I am pro-thread recycling).... what options are there for american style wireing? ie posts and all, preferablely a spline as they are lower poly..?.... i have been working on an american lightrail route that is in desperate need of some wireing

What height is your wire / pantographs? Are you after modern or period?

There are quite a few options out there, so it's probably best to narrow it down a bit first...

p.s. Spline is not necessarily the performance friendly way of doing things...

preferably, I am using this tram here:

theres a large portion of my route that is in the divider between two interstate lanes, and theres not much to hang wiring on, so something with a cat pole would be preferable:

this is the cat Im trying to imitate,

thanks for your help

Not too easy to see the overhead in that photo, but I can see that you'll be after overhead wire of around 5.3m height. In which case, the overhead items by myself may well help. Also look for items by crofelix and RW1HH. Denis_fr has tracks which include an overhead wire, and all of my overhead items are designed to match that. If you need to do concrete elevated sections, then my elevated kit will help. There are also some curved overhead poles by michael-h that will match.

p.s. some example screens in my Bridgehampton route thread here: http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=955&page=20
