Trainz10 vs. Trainz12

Its ok as long as we are getting something out of it. I'm reading everything that has been mentioned and I'm glad that you brought up what you did. I too am interested it doing some route building. Likely northwestern Montana. Steep grades, limited sidings, and lots of traffic. If route building is limited in 12 then it sounds like 10 is what I'm looking for.

Actually TS12 will handle a route this size quite well. The memory management is much better than it was in previous versions of Trainz.

The biggest issue I've run into is merging completed routes at this point, and this is a bug that has been confirmed by N3V. You can however import and merge undecorated DEM baseboards and routes into each other and into an already existing "populated" route.

I feel sorry for the guy that didn't get that memo before he/she built their route lol. I could work with something like that but I heard that the placing and rotating of objects feature in 12 is no longer available. ??
