Why does cdp check every time you open it? why is it so easy to make routes yet to download stuff they made it so hard but not impossible. Why do you have to log on to every page to do anything? you have a beautiful sim and I know it took a long time to build it. I think with a little more thought this could be a master piece. but my kids hate it. I might try 2010. is it much different? p.s. I have 2006.
Firstly, you are using an unsupported version, but still, you don't use the webpage to download anything in TRS2006. Believe it or not, you use Content Manager Plus, you access this by clicking on "Content" at the menu. You may need to input your username and password. However, with TRS2006, you do require a first class ticket to access it now, due to its support status. Thats depending if Auran have cut off access now.
I'd recommend TRS2010 if you are happy with downloading for free at limited speeds.
i just got 2010 and i have had nothing but problems with it freezing this and that not working could not save game as it made game freeze i have been on this now for 3 hours unistalling game to see if i can sort it ,,if no joy i will be deleting it off hard drive as this is utter crap .......shame as it looks good but its riddled with bugs AHH now just installed and at last min error game crashed have to install again
Firstly, can you post your system specs please? E.g. CPU, RAM, Graphics card or chip and Operating system? I've got TRS2010 sucessfully running on a number of old computers (laptops funny enough! Well over 4 years old and one of them is a tablet PC. If you want to know, Pentimun M 1.6Ghz DORTHAM CPU, 2GB RAM, GeForce FX5200 32mb video card, 160GB Pata HD, Windows 7 and a wacom tablet screen, its an experience in its own right...! If you want to know, its a Toshiba Portege M200.)
However, with TRS2010, I would rebuild the Trainz Asset Database if something is crashing, just go to content, then in CMP, click file then "Extended Database Repair". Which reminds me, something I need to do on the M200. Also, all software has bugs, some require some logcal thinking to overcome them, others are due to poor coding. I've made software and yes, I had a number of bugs, due to my own fault!
