Trainz Winter Route Building Contest

Its almost time for the Holidays!! 36 Days till Christmas!!
And I think its about the right time to start a contest! A Winter one!!

Thats right! A Winter Route Building Contest!!

I must know by Thanksgiving if your competing. All entrys from there possibly will be excepted until December 1st. From there no more entrys can be excepted.

Then start building! There is no limit to the route specs. It can be anything, US, Canadain, Steam, Electric, Diesel! Anything! :udrool:

But there are rules!

1. It MUST be WINTER themed. Please note! If you have bits of snow here and there it will be excepted as it will be considered late or early in the Winter. But you must say it is!!
2. It must be uploaded to the DLS.
3. You must create the route on your own. NO EDITING OTHER ROUTES.
4. HAVE FUN!!!!

The routes must be named like this:

WRBC "Name of Route" 2007

All entrys must be on DLS by Christmas Day. (Please give time for uploading!!) The route HAS to be avalible on DLS by December 30th.

Voting will start on December 31th and end January 30th. It is then I will announce the winner of the contest.

There will be a thread in the Screenshot section for progress shots of the routes.

NOTE: I need poeple who would like to make prizes, please post here what would be a prize.
Also I need judges!! PM me if you would like to be a judge.

And last but certainly not leaset Enjoy, and have Fun!!

Hi Mike...
Umm well a Winter themed route should have snow on it...
BUT If you put little areas of now, it could represent snow just fallen or snow melting away.
That would be accepted.

Heres my entry...Dont look like much but I just started. It will be in late Winter. Snow is starting to melt away.

I'll try to build a narrow gauge one...I've made one before but don't have it anymore...I'll see what I can do! One question: Can I use a short section of a modern day route? Thanks!

The Winter Route Building Contest does not offer any money prize. I am currently trying to figure out what the prize will be to the winner and runner ups.

The TC Route Building Contest offers money. Thats the one Alan is talking about.

Might as well just hand you the prize now:hehe:

First off navigate to the file in CMP. Right click on the file and hit “Save to CDP”.
Then place it and name it what ever.
Next open the uploads bar found to the left and drag and drop file into box.
Hit Accept, then close on the next window.
Now hit upload wait for a few seconds then it will automatically bring you to Plant Auran.
Hit Upload Content, Standard Upload.
Now take the CDP file you saved navigate to it after hitting browse and then hit open.
Now accept Agreement then upload and the bottom of page.
Congratulations! If you did everything right in a few days your File will be upload to the DLS!!
You will the get a confirmation email.

And for a prize I dont know yet. It will most likely be sigs. But if someone has another idea or thing they would like to put up as a prize please say so.
