Well... i just want your opinion.

my opinion::p

well.

Trainz: is good for creating routes and has good graphics.realistic enough driver:p

MSTS: is good if you like a realistic driving experience. hard to create routes with.

edge: trainz.

What a thought provoking question....surprised nobody thought of it before. Maybe Tony should use this as one of his polls.....

I'm sorry, but exactly what reaction do you expect to get on a trainz forum?

The question is how Trainz09 will compare with MSTS2. Until those programs are released and evaluated, nobody knows the answer.

However, even at this early stage we do know that any judgement of MSTS2 should not be based on that of MSTS1, as the new product will be fundamentally totally different.

Who cares, but they are both better than that unprototypical pile of junk called RS.

Well,if the truth was known,in the 15 years of interest around simulations/military/flight/trains,i've never seen a title released in such a state that RS was, only time will tell if Mk2 puts things right.

Ive even read that they may be reported to trading standards, for misleading information.IMO,RS does not deserve a place alongside MSTS or Trainz, the experiance doesnt even come close.

Could be interesting to bump one of the old KRS threads up so that we can chuckle at the people who sang its praises...:)

Niether is 'better' Both have their pros and cons.

Trainz is known to be very user friendly and offers gameplay on a broader scale than MSTS.

Hear, hear.

Trading standards, eh? That would wipe the smug congratulatory smirks off the fanboys at UKTS...

Back to the original post, it's all been discussed many times before. Each sim has its good and not so good points and most of us who have both have a moving opinion based on what we're doing at the time.

Lol,yeah I was one of them:p,call it clouded judgement, although I feel as though I was misslead by statements on the box:),Iv'e came to my senses now,and appreciate MSTS and trainz more than ever.

Back on topic,if i'm in a building mood it's trainz, driving mood MSTS,if i'm feeling depressed I just boot RS up,have a laugh for a minute or so,then load either MSTS or trainz up.

....you can only keep kidding yourself for so long....

...cut...
Dosen't UKTS stand for UK Trading Standards?

Anywho, as has already been said, different companies have different attitudes and ways of doing things, and the end products are always different. So we all end up with different differences with different different different different different overload.... beeeeeeeeeep......:hehe:

As a matter of interest, I bought MSTS a few years ago and tried my best with it before going back to TRS2004.I re-installed it a few months ago for a laugh and noticed that:- The UK diesel locos looked lovely BUT they all had a "generic" diesel sound which would be OK if I was running a US diesel (and didn't know what it sounded like) but was downright offensive when applied to DELTIC or a Class 40.Did they ever fix that? Oh and the lower quadrant signals on the S & C which worked as Upper Quadrants? :'(

According to most reports KRS simulates the present-day British passenger railway system extremely well. Over-priced and largely disfunctional. :)
