I was using Topo tools to raise and lower ground in my engine yard near my engine turntable house. I have some V/Line streamlined locomotives parked inside there.
All of the sudden diesel engines started to rev up and roar like lions!
It made my heart beat like a hummingbird's wings.
I thought the engines would damage their valves or blow piston rings.
Then after out 10 seconds, they quieted down again.
This occurs everytime I use a Topo tool to raise or lower ground level near the engines if I tamp ground close enough.
This occurs in TS12.
What is happening technically speaking to make locos react to changes in the ground nearby?
I find this paranormal phenomenon as interesting as the devil.
Trainz is loaded with surprises.
Now that I am all out of hot air, the serious technical computer science question:
Why do enginesounds react to using a Topo tool near a diesel engine on the track?
The engines were in a roundhouse nearby. They are V/Line F7's.
There was JR track joinded at the roundhouse turntable at that time.
The engines (loco content) also rev up whenever the roundhouse is moved or rotated.
The engines are the distinct sounds of GM/EMD F7's.
I know them when I hear them.
This happens in TS12.
Please believe me when I say this happens.
I am not hearing things.
Computer science is relevant to everything Trainz does.
I doubt if this is a hardware issue.
It is all physics, electron current and advanced electronics.
Trainz is powered by precision electron flow, not coal or diesel fuel, nor the devil.
Computer program operation can be a mystery to human observers at times.
Content therein is all digital images and sounds.
Perhaps the Doctor of Trainzology can figure this out.
