Trainz Plus Beta SP5 Hotfix - 129139

Hello Everyone,

We have prepared another updated for the Hot Fix, which resolves the error for DLS and locally installed splines. An additional issue, which causes a Database Repair to marking newly cloned routes as unknown location, was identified. These would be resolved with a subsequent Database Repairs.

This build has the fix for both the Extended Database Repair (trackside object issue) and regular Database Repair (newly cloned routes).

Please test the new build with your own unique databases, and report if any new issues are found.

Steps to test newly cloned routes
  1. Start Trainz Launcher
  2. Start Trainz
  3. Edit <kuid2:661281:200039:11> Kickstarter County 2 (TRS22)
  4. From the System Menu, select Save As
  5. Give the new route an identifiable name
  6. Close Trainz
  7. On the launcher, click on the developer on the top of the screen and select Rebuild Database
  8. After the DBR completes, search for the route saved in step 5 - either via Content Manager, or via Main Menu

Change log (128907 to 129139)
  • [Fix] Database Repair marking newly cloned routes to unknown location

Change log (128486 to 128907)
  • [Fix] Extended Database Repair asset corruption

Installed the patch and followed the steps requested.
My cloned version of Kickstarter County TRS22 shows up correctly after running rebuild database.

Thank you to all those who have tested the hotfix build 129139. I have the final TrainzUtil command to try out.

Please test the TrainzUtil command "repairdatabase base"

  1. Start Trainz to the launcher.
  2. Click "Trainz Settings".
  3. Select the Dev tab.
  4. Switch on "Enable advanced debug tools".
  5. Close Trainz Settings.
  6. Exit Trainz entirely.
  7. Open Trainz to the launcher.
  8. Developer > "Run TrainzUtil Command…"
  9. Type the following command and then press enter:
    repairdatabase base
After running the TrainzUtil command, please retest the previously saved test routes and then continue to use your unique databases and report if any new issue arises.

Maybe I'm confused but is TLR disabled in build 129139? In driver, I'm looking under the Windows menu at Sessions Options and I don't see the switch to enable it?

Edit: Looks to me like this function has been moved to the Driver Control Center where you click on View Driver Details and then change the Dispatch Status to Dispatch enabled. The Driver also has to be set under player assignment to Automatic scheduler to have it accept the tasks assigned by the Dispatcher. Maybe I just missed this in the documentation.

If you have not already explored it you will also find the Dispatch Manager, which works with the TLR, to be quite useful. It is found under the Tools Menu.

See the Trainz Wiki at The_Dispatch_Manager_Window

I can not update from 128907. I keep getting an error message.
when updating from the Trainz Plus Beta 128907 to Trainz Plus Beta 129139
I get: Patch not viable

Details: Checksum mismatch on F:\\....\assets.tdx (expected a4ed3915aa746e150ac118d0bf22a11, found a9f3d25d3bba8660c09aa50de4c69ec7)

Any idea what might be happening. One strange thing happened when updating to 128907, the software requested to update 3 times.

This error is usually caused by a modified file in your install, a file that shouldn't be modified.

It may be best to re-install Trainz and then update, followed by re-assigning your data folder.
