:o I will be testing Trs2009 in about 3 to 4 days with my new Video Card I ordered.
I will be running a
AMD II x4 955 processor,
The Crosshair Formula II,
1100 watt ABS Power Supply,
4 gigs of Crucial Balistix Tracer memory sticks, XP 32bit only 3gigs available.
4 W.D. 74.3 gig Raptors in raid 0
Creative XFI Champion sound card with hub,
32 bit Xp Pro,
:D Finally just one single
EVGA CO OP single PCB GTX 295 Video card
Sli more than 2 cards of this model does not work from what I have read on all of the reviews, due to bottlenecks and limitations of the current mother boards. Maybe the X58 will be different but that is another big wait for me due to cost$$.

;) I will be more than happy to post my results on performance if any at all happens. But I still have the feeling that TRS2009 will not inmprove as it has not in the past with all of the other upgrades that I have done. Due the nature of the Simulation and High Content Processing. Stay tuned as I will be back to share:)

I'll be interested to see your results. I have on order an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Addition, Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD5P Motherboard, and Corsair 4GB DDR3 XMS3 PC3-1600C9 DHX memory. This is to go with my current graphics card, an XFX ATI Radeon HD 4870 X2.

How are you benchmarking 2009?

I recently picked up Crisis from a friend who's system couldn't run it. I installed in on the machine in my sig, and I was getting mid 30's with high graphic settings. Seeing how Crisis is reported to be a pretty demanding game, it proves it's nothing compared to Trainz. I can load up Dermmy's Clovis Sub with all sliders at maximum and draw distances set at 4000 meters and I will only see mid teens.

I love this simulation, but holy cow does it ever stress hardware! I'm not surprised when I don't see performance upgrades in Trainz when I upgrade my hardware... unless I'm going from a Pentium III to a Core2Quad Extreme CPU. ;)

I'd be interested to see your results however. :)

GTX 295 Co-op due to arrive tomorrow.

 I have not forgotten my promise to share with the trainz team the bench marks for this GTX 295 card with Trains 2009. I will install this card as soon as it arrives and give it a run. I did forget to mention that I had built a fellow a new X58 computer a month ago with the Evga GTX 260 video card and I had tested TRS2009 on that system with very good results.

There was a better flow in the frame rates on the Marias Pass route, but still a litlle wait in the loading times. Also in survayor = Brain Fart more than likley not spelled right, was still a bit herky jerky but better than the AM2 6400+, 8800Ultra series. But all in all I did see a very good difference in scenery passing buy a bit more real and smoother while driving the train, and outside tracking view. I will be back in a few days with the GTX 295 Results:D
Sorry for the double posts, I do not know how this happened. Moderator please delete the non pics one above this one. Thanks!
