Trainz 2006 wont start

I re-installed it too. Trainz 2006 will not load when I double click it. I tried several locations including the shortcut it installs, the .exe from the parent directory and it still won't work right. Once I double click it it comes up for a split second with the loading cursor. It then just sits there. No messages no windows. Any help would be appreciated.

Did you install with AV turned off

Did you click YES to all the intall notices like: net framework and directX ?

R click on the TRS2006 Desktop Icon/ properties: Run As Administrator

Make Antivirus Program Allowable Exception Rules:

C:/ProgramFiles/Auran/TRS2006/bin/launcher ALLOW
C:/ProgramFiles/Auran/TRS2006/bin/CMP ALLOW

If it's any of what you said, I still have to try the reinstall settings. I will let you guys know if it works.

Also if you are using TRS2006 preSP1 and need to install the service pack, you need to install the program. Then install the SP without running the program first.

If you don't follow this procedure, things can get pretty weird.
