I'm not sure why the OP even posted his whinge, apart from maybe trying to create a furore on the forum. If you are disatisfied with something, stop using it. Everybody makes their own choice to either update Tainz or not. If you choose not to, stop using it, and that includes the forum. Nobody cares.

Not knocking you...

They were NOT made for 09 and 10. They all worked perfectly and had no errors when used in the simulator that they were made for. Luckily you won't get sick and tired of any further content that I make as I no longer make content for Trainz!

Not knocking you at all because I feel that Trainz needs all the content creators it can get provided they produce good content.
I still make 2004 content that is uploaded to the TPR site, but I first test in 2010 to see if it will Import, which is usually does just fine. This is with static objects of course, a spline would not work.
My friend also tries them out and they load fine but often with red lettering.

I do also make the same content available on the DS if possible in TC3 format and will most likely move to 2010 configs later in 2012. I may need a bit of help with those though, a static and a spline config would help enormously if there are any volunteers that would send me one of each.

Just my $0.02 - I still own and have installed 06, but find it doesn't work on my Win7 64bit rig... had to move it back to my XP PC

hmmmm ....progress? - I do agree that the old assets look great on the older versions (check out Mezzoprezzo's screenshots) BUT.... the machine moves on and it is a money making venture. I like (most of) the improvements of the newer versions, even though broken assets have caused me to be on an asprin regiment:hehe:

So..... go buy a first class ticket as life is good with one and there's still TONS of great content out there for version 1.3 on up, and many thanks to all the creators out there who work for many countless hours to make this what it is and always will be.......

It's N3V wanting us to buy expensive things so we dont have to worry, and with all the good stuff being payed add ons, they've gone greedy. (Shnabel Cars, Grey is one thing, but paying twice just for a different color?!)

1. I believe Ocemy is selling those cars through Auran; Auran hasn't "gone greedy."

2. If you have a problem with them being payware, why not buy a copy of 3DSMax or get a free copy of Blender or GMax and make some yourself? Who knows, maybe you can do a better job than Ocemy.

Bumping a very old thread is perfectly OK, as long as you have vital input, or pertainent questions ...

Older versions of Trainz, as well as newer versions of Trainz, all work on Vista, Windows7, and all other PC's ... if not, your PC is configured wrong, or something like your antivirus is blocking Trainz.

Sorry - bourbon moment I'll clarify... that was one hell of a bump........by broken toy I'm referring to all the content that's faulty at download, glitches, and the like but really I am a tinkerer so I completely dig it that's why it's my favorite.... As far as configuration, I suppose I could try a re-install with antivirus off and web unplugged - I really miss 06 and shen the frustrations of ts2010's resource hogging become too much it's good to step back and just run a damn route smoothly
