Trains download station. R.I.P.

Every since i got 06,99% of the time i DL Thur CMP. Has the DLS changed lately ? If you check all the boxes in the DLS don't you get all the assets that are available 04/06/09/10 ?
This means all the assets being old and new,only the new is built in 09/10. and won't 09/10 assets work in 04/06 ?
Then if this is true why are you crying ?
 
Pfx I appreciate what you said about nimec's post and I have to agree with him also. Thing to remember is that there is going to come a day when Auran has little control over their own company. A new update will be ignored simply because so many people won't be able to use it. They will have orgnized their hobbie in such a way that private links already in existance will supply everyone with what they are looking for. A few people will buy the new "TS2012 or 15" or whatever it might be but their company will take a big hit for not listening to their customers.
I know it cost a lot for more bandwidth but if Auran want's a healthy company they should have the common sense and business savvy to listen more and ignore less. I have TS2010 and will probably never buy a newer version. There's precious little out there that I need for my own personal routes which is all I ever run. And if there is I will be able to get it from other sites.

Appologize if I hurt someone's feelings or ego but being a long time business man I listened to my customers.

Unless you have EVERY single piece of 04/06 (and below) content, can't see what's stopping you from still downloading content.

Also... this may of benefit on a conceptual level...

DLS No Longer Available

I understand that Bandwidth costs must be considerable with the enormous amount of content available, but as I still use 04, and cannot upgrade I am sorry to see it go.:'(

There are plenty of places to upload your 04/06 route to ... some people even host their 04/06 routes as a CDP on a media sharing site, like Mediafire, or other free sites ... and there are plenty of 04/06 assets to download.

NO, It will take $49.95 and a NEW COMPUTER to get over it.

We got hit with a double whammy. Software that won't run well on the current computer and getting shut out of the DLS.

Then get referred to as a "non paying customer". I'm glad many "non paying customers" still voice their anger over this.

I understand what he means. I was a regular cheerleader too, until the DSL shutout happened, and then came all the cheap shot artists with the snide remarks if you voiced any dissatisfaction.

Right about a year ago was the beginning of a real eye opener regarding misplaced loyalty.

Anyone who bought the game is a paying customer! People who torrent the game are the only "none paying customers".

I have no doubt, but have you ever asked yourself where you would be today if N3V hadn't stepped in?

The company that created your TRS2004 doesn't exist in reality any longer. Same with 06 and the TC's... In reality...

Now I don't know for sure but I would believe that N3V didn't step in and buy Auran to throw money out year in and year out to provide free DLS access to owners of obsolete Auran software...

They bought it to move it forward and make money in the future in hopes of getting a return on their investment.

Now we can either accept that and support the company that saved the sim or we can whine and call anyone who chooses to support N3V for saving the sim "fanboys" and continue to bash N3V and they will either continue to ignore you or eventually cut their losses and Trainz will become another MSTS...

As for me and many others like me we will continue to support N3V and hopefully those who refuse to move forward will get tired of having their complaints ridiculed and either join us "fanboys" or go to railworks and spend their days complaining over there...:hehe:

They were NOT made for 09 and 10. They all worked perfectly and had no errors when used in the simulator that they were made for. Luckily you won't get sick and tired of any further content that I make as I no longer make content for Trainz!

There are lots of Trainz members that are working hard to fix these faulty assets. Just search for updates & download them, though some assets are now very long in the tooth, & best forgotten..
 
:eek: Uhhh... I was going to get a 1st class ticket for download station...now I'm not so sure. You guys tell me... should I get one for 3 months? :p
 
One never knows about the lifetime of 04, 06 and the Black Pages DLS http://www.auran.com/TRS2004/DLS.php ... But your 09, 10, 12 DLS will be there for the lifetime of N3V.

I myself would suggest a buying a 1 year FCT, as it is most affordable.

Shorter term FCT just run out faster, and you will want to renew your FCT down the road ... IMO

I never regreted purchasing a 1 year FCT ... and there is a sale going on right now.
