Progress Report...
I have had a great deal of success. I added a hanger and helicopter pad with associated track
and turnouts.
I can now taxi to the end of the runway, at reasonable speed thanks to nikkias' Set Max Speed To,<kuid2:450022:90001:2>
which keeps the wings or rotor out of the asphalt, and take off and return without problems.
The only thing added was 3 track marks. one at 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 thru the length of the trip,
which is about 40 miles.
NO signals were used at all, at any point on the route. Amazing.
It operates smooth as glass.
This has me perplexed at this point since Neil Smith - UMR, used very few track marks on his route
and many signals between destination points. Since I used his route as a guide, and it didn't work,
I now have to go back and have another look at UMR.
Right now, after nearly a week of this 'Expansion', I'm burned out. Think I'll go back to Railroading!
Was it all worth while? You bet it was! It gives an entirely different perspective to the route.
I see textures that need tweaking, assets that need moved a nudge or two, just lots of work
to make the whole route look and no doubt operate better. Yes indeed, it was worth the week of effort.
Many thanks to all who jumped in with help.
@Vulcan... Thanks for the aircraft. The Beech Baron is outstanding as is the Bell choppers.
The info page you recommenced will demand a lot of reading but will have another batch
of needed info. Thanks!
