Think: Tweaking means increasing the speed. Nothing is cheap. More speed, more heat. Your coolers (fans) in the card will take care of it, but in the long run, heat will reduce the life of electronics, even if it dissipates via air moved by fans. So, I don't overclock unless I really have too. Hope it helps.. in the long run. But if you have to, install and play with the utility that you must have from when you got the card: The more speed, the more heat... If you go too far you may destroy the card (There must be a failsafe cut-off), and then Nvidia will be happy to sell you another card with the software to overclock; You realize that it is a business, yes?
