Throttle adjustment

Ha.. I have that exact same transformer sitting about 10 feet from where I sit. Mine comes from the hobby store I owned and operated in a past lifetime! Sold a ton of those things. Disclaimer: I did say in the post you quoted "Well, that's one way of looking at it." vbg (old fashioned emoji)

I have a couple of those still mounted on a piece of plywood and connected to the Atlas block system I used for my model railroad I had set up back in 2004.

Sad story.. I had built a full detailed HO 4x8 layout in my store. It was a great layout for a 4 x 8 with tunnels, bridges, etc. (Working layouts in store sell more trains!). When I closed the store I cleared inventory I still had 3 months left on my lease so I was not in a hurry to figure out what to do with that layout. (How to break it down and move it.)

The store was clear except for that layout. I took two weeks "off" from the chaos of closing. When I went back my keys did not open the door. It turned out that my lease had a "clause" in it that if you cleared everything out of the space the store was considered empty and remaining months on lease were forfeited. I was unable to get in and get that layout. What happened to it? I don't know to this day.

That's why I got out of retail. The store owner has no rights. Customer has rights.. those who lease to you have rights, government rules are a dictatorship, suppliers have their rules,... etc, etc. Owners of retail businesses do not get enough respect.

Ah, I do kinda get the concept, was in and out of retail from mid 1980s until health crash in 2005.
Retail work can be an, uh, let's call it, interesting alternate reality. True, in pets and hobbies it can be fun, even while also being that previously mentioned thing.

That they do, have experienced that firsthand.
