And would'nt be too hard to do the only snag would be the monorail junctions never done a junction before let alone a monorail one LOL!

It seems to bear some resemblance to the Lartigue system used on the Irish Listowel and Ballybunion Railway but without the steadying rails (perhaps why it fell off). Presumably like the L&B the loco had twin boilers (but with a single funnel). Certainly being cased in, it would be easier to model. Also no problem of animating the valve gear! In fact you could probably get away with invisible bogeys.

Have you any internet links to this; I'm fascinated as I've never heard of it before

My personal favorite is the Brennen Gyroscopic Monorail.
