Things You Can And Cannot Do While DSL Is Down.

Muchos gracias senor Alberte...and Eduardo of course.....:hehe:

I would have thought that downtime on the DLS gives everyone plenty of time to do some CMP housekeeping, to clone files and layouts, back-up locomotives and rolling stock, archive stuff and burn CD's with muchos gigabytes of assets, change hornsounds and engine configurations on locos that you wanted to do months ago but couldn't find the time, visit 3rd Party websites such as TPR and IBTZ, my God, is there any time left for the DLS this weekend, even if it was working.....:hehe:

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

Hi Alberte
Yes a very nice site and some nice things to download but my Spanish is not up to finding any contact email on there for the problem :
The requested URL /web/descargas/paquete_17_palmeras.cdp was not found on this server.
So I'll mention it here !
PS.Any chance that some of those routes would be redone for TRS2004 ?

Regards
Dave Bird

I noticed the title said "Things You Can And Cannot Do While DLS Is Down."
I got something that you can't do: Download things from the DLS :)

Sorry Auran, but even I can set up a more reliable web server than this!

Depending on the outcome of the meetings this month, between Auran, its creditors and the liquidator, you might get the opportunity.

Australia has some very tough insolvency laws, including jail for directors who knowingly trade whilst insolvent, and the last time I looked, in situations like this, the creditors have the whip hand, and its their decision whether to wind up a company or not.

So, rather than keep on about when the DLS will be back, hold your breath and wait and see if it will be back.

After a week, I suspect there is more involved here, than a server malfunction. Either that, or Planet Internet Services Inc, needs a kick in the ass.

Or complain that the DLS is down or make new threads to complain the DLS is down or make new threads that you are leaving because the DLS is down.:hehe:

Yeah, let's give them a little slack. After all, the Trainz team is down to 3 people and even they deserve to go home on the weekend. Patience is a virtue.

Home service, Dave. :hehe: Alternative link:

As for the routes/modules, not really, Dave, sorry. They were made in TRS2006 and downgrading them to TRs2004 is almost impossible.

Take care and keep visiting us,

Alberte

Hi "video guys"! What software are you using to record the video? I have tried unsuccessfully on a couple of pcs with Fraps ........ get nice picture but no sound, and Fraps were no help in trying to resolve it.

Thx. Colin.

I use registered Fraps. I think the free version also does sound, but you may have to configure the sound options in the program.
