You forgot my favorite city on the route. ASSASSins :hehe:

Are you noticing any big hits on FPS from copy pasting scenery? I remember in the older versions of TRS it would really take a toll in the long run.

But them I'm running w7 64. Under TS10 trainz never had any more then 2 gigs in memory... Under TS12...I've seen it go to 4 to just short of 5 gigs in memory. So it's actually for me...faster. To the point that I've added 4 more different types of trees vs 3....ie now 7.
 
It's using the memory like it should..

But, my problem is, 1) Only 2 CPUS, and 2) a 2 year old graphic card.

I need to update my box, but TS12 is built for a 64 bit operating system.

Let's see that's 121,000 Trees....

Divide by 13,215 feet(bout 2.5 miles) that's 9.156 trees per view foot.

In round terms if the train is moving a 1 mile an hour 5000 foot. That would be 45,000 trees an hour, moving at 40 it would be 1,800,000 rendered trees per hour. It takes 7 hours to go around this thing so 12,600,000 speed trees when it's finished...probably twice that cause it's a couple base boards deep on both sides...say 30,000,000.

All's I know if i do a replace on any one of them trees, it takes over an hour to process the replacement...and hangs the system till it's finished.

To answer your question. I know it's old. Whole new system this fall. I try and keep that old card between 22 and 32 fps...as I'm building this. SO, you wouldn't need the latest and greatest to use this route. But I only get 22 to 32 FPS on East K3, with this setup I've got.

The one thing you don't want to do with this route is set the draw distance out to 5000 meters and go on a helicopter ride.

Truth is you could model this section of the UP with 15,000,000 Cedar, 15,000,000 Birch....but you wouldn't fool anybody unless you added in a 5 billion black flys in late May. Eat canned bacon for a week before you go up there, they won't touch you....swear.:p

I once went up deer hunting, took enough cash up there for a good week, 10 days...back a day and a half later to get more money. This is back before ATM's. You ever get your engines fixed?
