The event was schedualed for 6:00 PM ... Is that Australia Time zone ?

So if it dint' happen ... It may be a little tardy in comming ... stand by the phone.

I will be running my Horseshoe route at 6:00 PM US EST.

I just may post a premature (not quite finished) beta CDP of my route, this afternoon, just in case.

My Speelchucker iz defiantly (definately) busted !

The guy is a quack! No one knows when the end is coming, so who is he to say that the world is ending. Stupid quack! He's been wrong before, and he's more than likely going to be wrong again.
 
Every so often some bible thumping moron gets this idea. The (brainless) faithfull give away all thier worldly goods, don white robes, and gather on top of a hill somewhere to await the rapture. When it (inevitably) doesn't happen they realize they have been duped and are broke. No house, no car, no job, etc. Folks like this aren't people - they are sheeple since they are so easily led by the ring in thier collective noses. Not a one of them ever considers thinkling for themselves. They are always willing to believe what ever some self-proclaimed prophet sez no matter how outrageous, incredible, or just down right stupid. I have no sympathy for them whatsoever. They need to start using the brain in thier heads instead of just using thier heads as a place to grow hair.

Finally for those of you who can't wait to start lambasting me for the above - I have read the Bible and the Koran when I was in collage. Both worthy texts with many good lessons within but neither should be open to selfserving interpretation yet both have generated a never ending stream of those who want to run everyone elses lives by thier interpretation of holy script (and alway to thier advantage). Like the gent above said "The guy is a quack" (and I'll say amen to that, lol).

This guy may be a "quack" but he is not stupid.

He has $73,000,000 in his bank.... mostly from people who believe his preachings.

I applaud you for saying what I was too lazy to say.

This whole "The rapture is coming today" stuff is a load on nonsense. I'm not Christian, but I've done enough research to know that NO ONE but God will know the exact date of Rapture...if there even is such a thing. Anyone who claims they know the date of Rapture is just a loony looking for publicity and nothing else.

P.S. This is why I hate the God Squad (people who don't think for themselves and relentlessly try to shove the Bible or other religious text down your throat, even if you are of a different faith).

What would happen if every person in the world syncronized their time to 6:00 PM US EST, and started jumping up and down for 5 minutes ... would it start an Earthquack' ?:hehe:

"The Bible guarantees it" (quoting the sign that the guy is holding in that Telegraph article). Oh, sure. If Jesus has already said in the bible that not even the angels in Heaven know of that day but His Father only, then would the Bible not be contradicting itself if it guarantees that the world would end today? The Bible does not contradict itself.

Further, I have never heard that for each seperate time zone, the Rapture would start at 6:00 p. m. seperately in each time zone. I believe that the rature will start once for the entire world in the twinkling of an eye, which makes sense, doesn't it? The whole idea of time zones, the time system that we have with 24 hours in a day, each hour divided by 60, and then the same for the minutes, etc., is a product of man, no?

And besides, maybe these people should see Dr. Charles Stanley's InTouch sermon, "Anticipating the Lord's Return", which basically says that it is not about when the Lord comes back, but what we should be doing until He comes back (which could be at any moment).
