He only had 73 to go on my last count, doesn't seem that long back he hit 5,000.

Oh, thank you so much for bring this to everyone's attention, I haven't felt this exposed since I was forced to wear that red cross on my helmet in the service! Yes, I post entirely too much, which proves the axiom that "post counts in online forums display a direct inverse measure of an individual's quality of life."
My advice would be to lavish the "Bells, whistles and fireworks" on those that are way more helpful than I, such as Shane Turner, Fran1:wave:, Robin Hoods, Clam1952, and others.
It shouldn't be a recognizable feat to mark someone that just can't keep their big, fat mouth shut!

Shane Turner will win that "race". I have calculated this through some algorithms I used to predict what forum member would break 15,000 first. At least he is helpful, and will surely deserve the dubious honor...

FYI, most forums using Vbulletin software have this feature;

Open the members list, click twice on the "Posts" tab at the top to get the biggest blabbermouths at the top.

I gave up trying to catch up to Ottodad over at trainsim. :hehe:

You're very kind Bob, but you know how it is these days, if all the children can't have trophies, then stop keeping score. If they can't all get good grades, then stop assigning grades. If they can't all find a good job with their degrees then dismantle the businesses. Here it is if they can't all have a bunch of posts, then get rid of the post count.

Honestly, posting a bunch is no great achievement if you have the time, which I do. I am fortunate enough to have flexible hours and a simple life that is fairly isolated from outside distractions. That, and I've avoided any romantic attachments since my divorce, so I have more time than anything.

I'm sure someone will be along shortly to explain the horrors of post counts, but all the protests I've heard sound more like jealousy and envy to me. Of course, that's the way we live now days...jealous and envious and angry when free stuff doesn't drop into our out stretched hands!

Its interesting to see what the post counts are like. I used to be seventh or eighth on the list a few months ago - now i am third. I also have a 'honour' of being one of the few users who has one of their threads stickied.

0-60 Speechless
60-200 Newbie
200-500 Junior Chatterbox
500-1000 Senior Chatterbox
1000+ I talk too much
10,000 Almost a Chatmaster
15,000 Chatmaster

There was a few more before I talk too much but forgot what they where, I haven't been on the forum in over a year /=

N3V could do something like that here.

It used to be like that for a while on the old forums too.

the first one everyone will look for was the Croco then the F7 and so on. The later introduce the option to choose your avatar due to so many people getting the waffle wagon

At the rate Euphod is posting (about 5.29 posts per day) he should hit 10,000 about this time next week. So don't slow down yet, its taken you about 5.5 years to get here, another 2 years and you should have 15,000.
