My thoughts:
Good Stuff:
1. I got the distinct impression it was "all hands on deck" to provide support and staff put in some long hours to help. Well done.

2. The patience shown towards those who unthoughtful or unappreciative is outstanding. Another well done.
3. The amount of effort that went into this suggests to me that N3V are serious about Trainz in the longer term. That is encouraging.
The "could have done better" department:
1. Advance notice of the size and consequences of the patch and the updates to DLC content could have been done better. I have a number of DLC or separately purchased stuff and the patch plus DLC updates would be close to 4GB of data.
2. The patch could have been offered on DVD for a nominal cost.
3. The list of fixes could have been published much earlier. This would have given time for those expecting fixes that didn't occur time to respond. Do we have a published list of "known bugs" in TS12 on the WiKi?
4. Frankly, if I were N3V, I would have started a number of SP1 related threads and stated that those threads would get special attention. This might have avoided the plethora of threads related to SP1.
As a content creator I've been more focussed on those issues rather that actually running trains or building routes. But I'll get around to that.
My number one "feel good" aspect of TS 12 SP1 is that Trainz is likely to be around for a while yet.
