Texture tools

I have been searching the forum and intenet on information concerning .Texture files. To say the least everything I have read is quite confusing. All I want to know is what software do I need to open a .Texture file. I want to be able to open a .Texture file convert it to another picture format, edit it and then convert it back to .Texture format. Then I would also like to know where to obtain that software.

TGATool2 from http://www.downloadatoz.com/multimedia-design_directory/tgatool2/ will open .texture files and let you save them as .tga. The .tga graphic file plus a xxx.texture.txt file works great in Trainz. No need to convert any graphic to the older .texture format.

If you have TRS2009 the Extras fold has a tool that will do this for you. Read the readme.
