The new game was officially released as a retail version for wide distribution on 15 May 2015, though it was rather bare bones, lacking many normal User Interface features such as Content Manager hotkeys, a working minimap and like UX multiplier factors.

Wikipedia is not a Trustful Site to get information from...... you got your information wrong on when it came out as well next year is the 10 year of it. Jointed Rail and RRmods have stopped producing content for TANE already or are in the process of doing so.. since you just joined the forums yesterday I would go back and reread alot of the posts in the TANE section of the Forums to see what i mean. I have been playing the Franchise since it came out in the early 2000's i still have a Hard copy of the original game in my collection... so tell me i am wrong again......... also putting something in bold is yelling at someone also.. you have been report McFly...@RetroRails12
As far as I know, Trainz: A New Era was released in the year 2015 and only in 2018 it bacame really playable. I mean, there were tonns of updates and service packs to make it playable. Only 5 years have passed since 2018.

same here forest... but for me i started back with trs2004 so my 20 years of playing is next year for meBack in the day, my T:ANE DVD came with a serial number, but I think the online versions may get one assigned as John mentions.
@RetroRails12, according to my profile, I joined in July 2013, and I joined in after purchasing my T:ANE DVD, so celebrating (at least) 10 years of T:ANE this year!
That's correct. We were able to purchase a CD-version of T: ANE back then and for those of us who were part of the Kickstarter, we got the Deluxe version with no online verification option. Today, it's all online.Back in the day, my T:ANE DVD came with a serial number, but I think the online versions may get one assigned as John mentions.

My Trainzing anniversary comes up in December just after Christmas when I purchased my copy of TRS2004 at CompUSA for $29.99. The rest is history.same here forest... but for me i started back with trs2004 so my 20 years of playing is next year for me
Let it be so. Wikipedia is not good in your eyes. But why does Steam also say about the year 2015 ?Wikipedia is not a Trustful Site to get information from...... you got your information wrong on when it came out as well next year is the 10 year of it.

same place i got my TRS2004 from was CompUSA man that brings back memoriesMy Trainzing anniversary comes up in December just after Christmas when I purchased my copy of TRS2004 at CompUSA for $29.99. The rest is history.
It sure does. I still have TRS2004 in the original box too. That purchase came and ended the work on my N-scale model railroad that my cats and nephews decided was a toybox. I was finding expensive trains on the coffee table that my nephews took upon themselves to bring downstairs to play with. I told my sister who was staying with us and she wouldn't do anything about it. It didn't help that one of the cats chewed all the wires and the other stole things as well. To make matters worse, I started with neurological issues which later proved to be something more serious and I was dropping things including expensive locomotives on to the floor. With the destruction of an expensive Kato/Atlas D&H Alco-RS3 as it hit the floor, that was even more of reason to give up and I closed a chapter on a book I can no longer afford to go back to.same place i got my TRS2004 from was CompUSA man that brings back memories
And that would remain true even if it was posted in Wikipedia. While virtual railroading is fun and gives us a lot of advantages and enjoyment, it's still not the same as real model railroading.
